This is day 5 at 100 degrees plus. And now the humidity is up too, which feels like Houston in July! I got up at 4:30 this morning to get some stuff done outside, and now it's 8:30 and the air conditioning has been on for an hour. Yesterday I went to Chatsworth (San Fernando Valley; a hotter part of the City of Los Angeles), where I have a building to keep some of my collection of Toyota Diesels. It has a black asphalt roof, and no ventilation (it's always windy there and I don't want dust and crap blowing in). I think I'll change my mind on that, since it was 137 degrees INSIDE the building at 5:00 pm!!!!! That's enough to kill upholstry and plastic fast. Going to put in a gable vent with automatic fan, and a few base vents TODAY.
