im not familiar with the winner... Monica of course did use gear but the main reason they look so drawn is due to the excessive dieting and depletion. When off season and they fill out they look better. Its all part of the deal when you compete.
I looked like shit on my comp day, and for weeks after until my body got back to normal. well... some would say I still look like shit but thats another whole issue. And the tan is a must on stage, its temporary.
You can see in her face the GH has takin a tool on her sad she was so beautiful still has a perfect body IMO.

As you diet down, and deplete, you will notice a huge difference in your face though. If you look at he there and her in even a recent pic not depleted, you can see a huge difference in her face.
She did screw up years back, no doubt.. all for the sport to turn around and and request less muscle.

First off, there's not a girl on that stage that has not run cycles. As far as Monica's jaw line, it's not from GH. The amount of GH these girls do will never cause Acromegaly. When women who already have pronounced features diet down, their jawlines and faces appear more boney. It's part of it. As Frisky said, women and men look entirely different during contest time. Some don't appreciate that, but fans of the sport certainly do.....

Look at pics of her face from 5 years ago tell now. I am not talking about her jaw line more the whole face there is BIG diffrence. Maybe not specificaly GH caused it but for sure gear related. If they look like that on comp day I only can imagine what they look like on vacation! Like CB I don't find them all that attractive on the stage, however I know they are displaying a different beauty during comp. Lots of respect for those who choose to be their best, you don't get that way relaxing infront of the TV.

Just got my NPC magazine this week and I was in total awe that Jenny even placed. Monica look amazing but Mary should have taken that one.
I just feel right now Jenny is getting her wins due to well... just being Jenny. Her legs had not one bit of definition and her ass looked saggy in some of the shots.
I know they want the 'barbie' doll look for figure but damn, its still a sport and you should at least look like you put some work in. Other wise head over to the Beauty Pagents or Model searches.

Its self gratifying, if I must say so myself. It takes discipline and dedication. You have to walk a straight line and when you walk up on that stage you know you are at your physical best.
Its the best damn feeling in the world to actually see your body making changes as you diet down.
Some women take it to the extremes, some do it purely for their selves and how it makes them feel.
The money doesn't come with winning that title, It does come with promotions though. If you get your name out there, Like Monica then you are paid to do events, promotions etc.
I don't do it for the money, I do it because I love how it feels and love pushing my body where it's never been before.

Just about 1 month later & my ProTan is *finally* all gone.......and, on me, my face doesn't get the shrunken in look when dieted down for competition. Don't know if that's good or bad yet! LOL

many of these women seem to have come from eating disorders or some other dysfunction and while it's great that they make change, they go from one obsessive compulsive disorder to another. Not all of course, but i have read that many have had that sort of background

I know I am!!! Bro you should see them during the offseason that is when they really look awesome! They are so ripped right then from dieting that they don't have much ass but during the offseason it is on!
Monica Brandt has been my favorite for many years and is really sweet when you meet her.

Are you guys for real???? All of these fitness/figure competitors are role models to alot of women. How can you say they look sick and like men. These girls come into competition weight at 118-128 lbs where do you see any men at that weight.. What these women do is the "EXACT" same as men do that compete. The purpose of dieting down for a competition is to show your muscle size, striations, symmetry, and an overall put together look that can only be judged when you are at alow bodyfat. Just like men bodybuilders these women do not look like this year round, they fill out a bit more in the offseason. Please dont put down these hard working women.....
