So I'm thinking about moving to Australia

Sounds like a fun thing to do. I was thinking of staying for a couple of years, work somewhere then maybe move back to the states. I have been at the same job for 11 years. I don't have a job lined up. I just want to go there and live for a bit. I heard it's a 7-1 girl to guy ratio there. So I should have a pretty good chance.

Do you live there, or do you know anyone that lives there? Can I crash on an extra couch for a couple of weeks? Where is the best place to live? I have a friend that lived in Perth and said that is the place to be. Sydney is an expensive city...just wondering.

i wanna go broley can i be ur maid or something? wanted to go to australia ever since i saw"the thorn birds" and learned that Mel gibson was from there

Sure!
The more the merrier! Let's go. Call some friends and we can crash somewhere.
I don't know where to go though.

Well, hello from Perth,

if there is anywhere in this country where the girl-guy ratio is 7-1 tell me about it because I want to move there. I highly doubt it though. In any case there are heaps of hot girls in Perth to choose from anyway even if the ratio isn't exactly 7-1. Perth is pretty cool, if you can live with the fact that you live on the other side of the country that's on the other side of the world. The rest of Australia and in fact the rest of the world barely knows or cares about our existence, and it's kind of mutual for us.

A word or two about Sydney, having only visited Sydney I would have to admit it's the action place to be in Australia. That doesn't mean I would relocate there from Perth though. Another thing, Sydney is lucky enough to be the world's number 2 'gay' city, after San Francisco. Bet you didn't know that.

Anything you want to know just hit me up.

Plus is very expensive to live there. Comparable to New York. Most of our Reps take a train for a couple hours into Sydney for work.

I live in Sydney. Best city on earth, but it is an expensive place to live. So much to see and do and the climate is perfect.

Perth is a mini version of Sydney. Beautiful city, but very quiet in comparison to Sydney.

I'm not sure if you can get more than a one year working visa for Australia.

Hey ya thanks for the infos. How long does it take to drive from Sydney to Perth?

If I get a work visa I can work for a year, then can I apply for a second work visa? Or is it a one shot deal?
I was thinking about getting a visa the first year then if I couldn't get a 2nd work visa I'd stay anyway and find somewhere to work under the table. If I got caught, what happens? Do they deport you? Pay a fine? Will they make me drink gallons and gallons of Australian beer as punishment? If they just deport me that could take care of the plane ticket home. But I don't want to burn any bridges if I want to come back.

Oh yeah, as far as the 7-1 ratio, I'm sure that's a way inflated number. But anytime there are more females than males...it a good number.

And one more thing....alien amp fart...:doublefi:....phuqua!

I'm sure it does suck. It sounds like a terrible place to be. But I think it's something that I need to find out for myself........phuquer.......

So what you're saying is I'd better pack light.
No shit! I didn't relize it was that far away. Well looks like I'd better get that figured out. Perth sounds cool. As of now it's between Melborne and Brisbane.

Try the Gold Coast instead.

It's a city right on the beach, about 45 minutes from Brisbane. Beautiful weather year around, plenty of tourist type jobs, awesome beaches and great pussy. The Gold Coast is where they have the leg of the Indycar series when it comes to Australia.

Melbourne is cool, but the climate can be quite changeable and there is not much in the way of beaches.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at someone moving somewhere simply because the ratio of girls is 7-1. do you really need those odds to get laid?

Shit, I can go somewhere where the ratio of men to girls is 12-1 and still get laid. And still get the chic to leave with me too.

Yeah but you're confused. So it's understandable ;)

...and the winner sounds like the Gold Coast.

(hey, do aussies like mericans? I heard Australia was one of the only places left in the world that didn't flat out hate us)

Isnt prostitution legal there? Any country that has legalized prostitution and a high ratio of women to men.. is the best country in the world..

I really need to move to Austrialia

um, round here, generally americans are kinda...yankers...

piece of advice, honestly- dont buy clothes before you come. really. i see the navy guys out in their finest when they come into port for rnr, and they look a bit...retarded, for wont of a better word

by the way, lots of american guys i met at uni reckon that there arent as many hotties in australia as in the usa...and a lot of my mates who go over there say that there are far hotter women in the usa (when they arent fat as hell)

so yeah, dont get your hopes up too high
