So....I did it!

New member
I officially left work for the next 6 months and I'm registering for naturopath courses.
My transition was inevitable.
Working full time with a chronic illness was killing me slowly

I'm totally terrified and cried a good part of the afternoon
Should I be drinking now or something?

Whoa! That's a big step. Good for you!

It'll work out great. IF you are a journaler don't forget to write this all down. In a couple months or so it will be interesting to go back and read.

Hugs,
Molly

awww...good luck to you and kudos for following your heart.

good for you, i'm a big believer in change.. congrats, and 1/2 bottle of champaign to celebrate is ok..

drinking because you are scared or mad is not..

Physician heal thyself..

Naturopathy is based on the belief that the body is self-healing. The body will repair itself and recover from illness spontaneously if it is in a healthy environment. Naturopaths have many remedies and recommendations for creating a healthy environment so the body can spontaneously heal itself.

hey babe.....it was a huge step. I knew I had to stop work and make a change.
I do keep a journal. I actually found a bunch of my old journals from 1989 and realized "my life is no diff. time for a change"

hugs back and thanks

So what you're saying is a whole bottle of red wine right now is healing?

hahah!

Change scares the hell out of me......I hope I can pull this off

Thanks

I'm happy for you. Change is good and the nervous energy can be used to accomplish much.

I feel 10% excited and 90% scared right now. I think as the weeks pass, I will feel the excitement.
Change is very good...why the heck does it have to be so scary?!

Congratulations, few have the nerve to follow their heart. Good luck and fair wind.

thanks......I think being sick with an illness forced my change.
I very much believe the universe pushes us in the "right" direction
Reading the book "A New Earth" helped me decide this change as well.
I'm not quite sure I have the nerve yet, but am going to take this day by day

that's great, congrats

does canada have disability?

You should be celebrating... Most people (healthy) don't have the balls to switch careers mid life. Kudos to you Blueta, doing what you love will make you a happy & healthy person. Work to live, don't live to work. :)

Every day of my life is killing me slowly. (not a downer, just saying every day of life is one more day closer to the grave, you know?) :)

Seriously though Blue...this is great! Stay positive!!! This will be a great thing for you and for many others you will help. I'll be hitting you up, I'm sure! ;)

Congratulations!!! I don't know much about the field your going into but if it's your dream career you have to take a chance. I changed my career a few times and it's a big step but I love that nervous feeling I get. Drink a glass of wine and relax.

Life is too short to wait to start living it as you want to.

Thank you
I've taken disability through my private insurance. It doesn't cover my entire salary, but I'll get by.

I kinda did. My neighbors just invited me over to their balcony and I had a beer. I've not had a beer in a long time
I got a buzz..haha!
Thanks SF, I think being ill gave me the courage. When I was well, I just floated along in a stupor.

hug

Staying positive is going to be a challenge, but I'm up for it.
My goal is to help others with illness. Hence the courses.
You can hit me up anytime :-)

to be honest, I'm getting into more to understand my own health for now, but yeah totally would love to go all the way.
To be a certified naturopath would take over 5 yrs (it's med school) and over 30 grand, so will take one step at a time for now. I'm friggin old ya know..hha!

I'll relax when I see your new shoes and socks

My shoes were on the truck, but will only be at work tomorrow. Of course I won't be there so I'll get someone to go get them or I may try to go pick them up. Either way, I want them by tomorrow
