So Grilled chicken causes cancer ?

It says chicken is high in fat and cholersterol too? wtf? i thought chicken was one of the leanest meats around.

Its not the chicken, its the blackened or burnt meat that causes cancer, the charcoal coupled with flesh and burnt becomes a carcinogen.

If you grill chicken over a gas flame without blackening it too bad you should be fine.
 
they say everything can cause cancer. Which is some form is prolly true. But i do belieive some things can give you a higher risk of cancer. Some people say you can get hit by a car prolly true But i bet playing in traffic would up your chances tremdous.

I am going to eat 4 or 5 instant blueberry muffins for breakfast.
Is that cancer too? I already had 1 dunkin donut coffee and now I am having dr. Pepper.

I know the black crusty stuff when you burn it causes cancer. Seriously though, who cares. Its not as bad as smoking!

actually they are saying eating grilled chicken is worse then smoking, it releases more carcinogens.

my question is, does grilling only mean flame grilled ? or what about a normal grill like the george foreman one ?

I am a hypochondriac too, so it makes it even more scary for me !!! :worried:
 
From everything I have seen it's not the meat itself. It is caused by carcinogens from the burning material ie Charcoal or propane. These particle adhere to the meat especially in the burned areas. Then there is a risk of it causing cancer. But then again in a high enough dose over time anything can cause cance.

It's the carbon that is a result of burning fuel, charcoal, and if the chicken gets black. Chicken isn't bad. I grill my dinner almost every night, so I may want to chill out with it. I just hate the cleanup and making the house smell like food all the time.

actually guess what my professor from the FED agrees with you. he thinks only a small % of people will be screwed, they're houses will be sold they'll declare bankruptcy or whatever, but for the implications of the greater economy it will be an almost imperceptible blip.
