Quick Q. Wife and I were gonna head down to MX tonight for a "run" anyone in closer to that area (San Diego, El Cajon, Chula Vista Etc.), know how the border is being treated right now?

I will let you know how it went. Probably through IM cause I don't need a ton a new kids asking for shit!! That's if I go. I think if anything my wife and I won't look like the types they are concentrating on. Either way, I'm leaving it up to her, but that is where she get her Ortho and I know she's low.

I live on the border and I am waiting at least a month before going back. People are waiting up to three hours in line just to get in to the U.S. They are making everyone get out of their cars and inspectors are opening trunks and hoods, I would definately wait. It doesnt make me mad, I think that right now this is absolutely necessary, it should cool off in a couple of weeks.

AN UPDATE
Went without a hitch. Normal day in Mexico, buying gear, blankets and ponchos, then paying off the policia to get my gear back!!
At the border they are searching cars and people. We walked down the night before to check out the border and bring back a couple things as a test. We stood in line for TWO HOURS to get back to get to th US. Metal decectors, and questions.
When we drove back across the next day the car was completely searched, we had to get out while they did. I was asked to empty my pockets and my wife had her purse searched.
They found NOTHING and let us go. So here I sit like a kid on christmas morning looking at like 60 bottles of product just waiting to enter my system!!
My advive, if your thinking of doing this for the first time DON'T.

How can we feel safe from terrorists when amatuer bodybuilders can smuggle shit in the country?
Like I said I'm glad you made it across and I have no ill will towards you, but what the hell are they doing down there at the border!? And what the hell good is that checkpoint on the 5!! Everytime I come home from San Diego they just wave me by-do they stop anybody or do they just fuck up traffic!!

I think they flag or are going to start flagging everyone that looks arab or middle eastern.
Yes it's profiling but that's what they gotta to do.
For every 50-100 arabs that get stopped and checked, they'll check like one american.
Just so that they don't yell discrimination.
I say check them all. If you got nothing to hide then you shouldn't be worried about being checked.

My brother on the other hand looks more like the milkman in that he has very tan skin and hair that looks almost like a black persons.
He got stopped my Transit police on the Jersey side of the tunnel and was harrassed by the cops. They figured out he was spanish and let him go.
His son, my nephew who is 13 but big for 13(looks 17 0r 18) was stopped going to school on the weds after in NJ and questioned by the cops.
You tell me.

I am your basic generic whitebread dude. I am just pissed because I knew this would happen. The NY attack is this big media spectacle and everyone is worried for a few days and then the sitcoms come back on TV and everyone is back only giving a shit about themselves and the fuckin cops go back to harassing people for speeding and letting murderers go free!!
We are no longer safe in our borders and we probably haven't been for awhile its just that finally someone got to us and got us bad.
Profiling frustrates me because it goes against the very things this country stands for and the freedom our army will fight for. I don't think it is a necessary evil, but I have no doubt that it will happen.

Did you hear about the Northwest employees who purposefully carried knives onto one of their planes in Phoenix to test security? They passed checkpoints and then turned themselves in. This totally embarassed the Phoenix airport, but showed that their security is still poor.
