Not really, she has met my daughter and they get along great. During the last 'drop-off' I took the new gf with me and I think that helped the ex see things in a more finalized fashion and gave her much needed closure.

It's only been a couple months and we're already planning a weekend getaway at some pimp cottage in Hocking Hills. I'm telling you there is nothing quite like having drunk sex in an outdoor hot tub then getting your naked ass out to start a bon fire while still in the buff...very liberating.

Everyone has their own approach but bringing ANY people around your children that you dont know all that well is foolish. Good God, especially when you date a lot. Hell, I wouldnt even let my girls meet my platonic FRIENDS - I was THAT protective over them. Maybe I was a bit paranoid because I had to be but I dont see why the big rush to socialize with a gf/bf and child especially when you only have that child infrequently due to whatever circumstances.
