slight dilemma

ok i went to the school gym tonight and they don't have a lot of the equipment i'm used to. i don't tend to use a lot of machines, but i dearly miss my oblique chair thing and my ab crunch machine... there's NOTHING for that. no tricep dip place either... i usually do that and rope pushdowns.

so what can i do for abs/obliques...? regular situps?

OK well for dips, you can bring 2 benches closer together, one you place your hands on and the other your heels, then DIP like that. Look up in the air and keep your arms pinned close to your sides....

abs, do they have a pulley machine for rope pulldowns? b/c you can use this for ab crunches to and also obliques if you go to the side...

and do they have an incline bench, great for abs...

oh and if you have been doing those exercises for a while now, it's time to switch it up anyways.

Have you tried skullcrushers for tri's?

Small,

I would limit the obliques work anyway. They thicken the waisteline. If you put an inch of muscle on your waist, it's hard to have the V shape most people are looking for.

As for crunches, feet on a bench, press back into floor, nose pointing at ceiling, and nice smooth contraction, the best exercise for abs. Reverse crunches with the same form are also wonderful.

How about your very own "Fit Ball"? You can get those at WalMart for like $10?? These are great for ab work.

Hey Needleboy, have you seen Small's waistline?! I don't think working her obliques is going to be an issue.....at all!!

Catch me later "Smalls" and we'lll go over a few things.
