Six pack abs

I guess I'm going to have to go to Tuna from the can 8 times a day and water only as a diet.

Can't get rid of this last layer of fat that's hiding my abs.
THEY ARE SO CLOSE.

How much cardio does an old man have to do???

Any diet suggestions ? Lipo?

I'm eating low carbs, high protein, medium fat. About 3500 cals per day.

What the deal?.... and "YOUR OLD" is not an answer. :lmao:

carbs bro.

one serving of whole oats in the A.M. and steamed veggies for the rest of the day. do this for 2 - 4 weeks ( as long as u can take it )

a lil anavar wouldn't hurt :)

no carbs after 6, run a lot more than doing crunches since u want to lose the fat around the abs not tone the muscle. drink a lot of water. 3500 calories is a lot, thats hard to imagine that most is protein. 4 calories for everygram, so 25g is 100 calories. 250g is 1000 calories.400g is 1600 calories and thats a lot. and that still leaves 1900 for carbs and fat. eat less

Are you saying this is my daily carb intake - or my daily FOOD intake?

Presumably it's the former, cuz the latter ain't gonna happen. I am a serious carnivore.

haha, its pretty extreme with just the oats and veggies, i think it would work though. Stick to meat like turkey, fish and tuna. Avoid carbs whenever u can, if your hungry grab some turkey instead with some mustard or somethin

your old..and what does this have to do with AAS? LOL jk brotha have you had abs before? They say if you havent that last layer of fat is a bitch to shred off because its been with you so long but after that its easier....are you on a steady diet? If so post it up along with your workout routine...using any ab machines? I used ab scissors gets me to where i wanna be everyyear

lololol no no no bro

keep ur protein HIGH!!!

make sure and get plenty of good fat, e.g. almonds, salmon, flax seed oil

carbs are your problem.....i guarantee it.

you prolly got some visceral fat build up. trenbolone or anavar will fix that. i don't care what anybody on this fuckin board says, var and tren
will dispose of visceral fat.

( i read ur post and you are a knowledgeable \ hardcore dood so i assumed you knew to keep ur protein high lol )

Thanks guys. No big secrets as I suspected. I know all this information and I am applying it. I just have to kick it up a notch... God I hate cardio.

Start my summer cutter in a few weeks:

Var - Tren/Test/Mast/ 1-6 weeks
Halo-Tren/Test Mast/ 6-12 weeks

I picked up some AMP02 and LIPO from OMEGA, too.

You're not going to hear anything you do not know. And you may not want to hear this, but here goes.

Let's assume for a moment you go as extreme as possible. You do everything right and to the max. You will still only lose so much fat. And the last couple of % you lose will come back as soon as you fall off the routine, which can not be maintained forever.

The body has a set point. It will always try to maintain homeostasis. People who are ripped don't get there by being fanatical, just as people who are big aren't big strictly from working hard. They have a genetic disposition for it, just as they have a genetic disposition to be a certain height. You get bigger and more ripped and more muscular -- but only so much. And after 40, sorry -- if you've been going all out in your training for decades and have used gear, that's it baby. You're done.

Okay, now not to be a total bummer, here's some good news. Real bodybuilding isn't about getting in contest shape for one week a year. It's about looking good all the time. And one of the benefits of training for years is that the "homeostatis" is set for a muscular physique. I no longer have to kill myself training because I have deeply entrenched muscle memory. At the same time, if I eat a little crap now and then, I don't turn to shit. My body efficiently utilizes it because it's conditioned to be lean and muscular. On the other side, an older, experienced bodybuilder can eat a perfect diet and do 6 hours of cardio a day and it won't be much different than if he trains 4 days a week for 40 minutes and eats normally. The set point has been reached.

So there it is. Enjoy it.

I hear you. That part about being around 50 makes it harder and harder to keep lean enough to show a full 6 pack. 4 pack and a little extra is the most I look for now. Don't you need bf% down to around 10 to show full 6 pack?

I think Nelson, as usual, nailed it. I may not be able to get there. In fact I don't know ANYONE my age who has "deeply etched" abs. But I have to give it a serious effort as a personal goal. YES, I know the formula - just wanted to read it all again. So Thanks for the reinforcement.

It's interesting that guys like Arnold and Dave Draper, my two BB Idols, did not have washboard abs. They had little 30" skinny waists without a single ripple. But they trained that way. I won't be satisfied until I give it every effort. So - I'll get back with you if it happens - otherwise this dead horse has been beaten enough. Peace out.

Sounds like you're not gonna lose fat @ 3500 calories because it's above your maintenance...

Find your BMR and base your calories around that number.

Also reducing your carbs is a good idea or atleast eat carbs which provide little to negative energy (green veggies and yams are good ones)
