Single set training to failure

i incorporate HIT principles in my training. good stuff in general.....

i employ HIT along with several other effective training philosophies.
 
I did HIT for a while a few years back and at best all I did was keep my size. Now I do DC training which is basically warming up a muscle group real good. Then taking one set to total failure, waiting 30 secs or so and going at it again to failure, and repeat one more time. Called rest pausing. The split is pretty unique too. It's a 2 day split set up so that you hit each bodypart twice in 8 days. You do this until you get burnt and then take 10-14 days off and repeat. Been doing it since November and have gained 10 lbs and my lifts keep getting stronger.
