Yep I'm a laborer/bricklayer and had a bunch of side work this year but I got unemployment and WIC for formula, milk and some food for the family. And my fiance works a part time job. Basically we werent strugglin but I had to go back to the union so I can buy a house.

This is true I know he has some great clients that treat him well.

I believe only top 3 get prize money others get endorsment money etc but really it is not that much money compared to other pro athlets.

Pro's make money but it's mostly made doing shady things like muscle worship, drug deals, stripping, etc. Vic Martinez was training for the Arnold while living with a man in Philadelphia who 'took care of all his needs'. There's money to be made but it's not the Hollywood image Joe Weider used to paint back when he owned the IFBB and magazines.
