I used to be the same way. Like Phenomena said...alcohol can help, but don't drink too much or you will end up learning more about the other person than you care to (unless that was your intention in the first place).

I just had to say FUCK IT. I swallowed my pride and just started going up to people and talking to them. I found that people aren't nearly wierded out by this as I thought they would be. Try it...I swear it works.
