shoulder ache question

A Few hours after doing chest, and for a day or two after I get an ache right on the most pointiest bone on the top of the shoulder. I only get it on the right side and if i press on the bone or tap it I can feel slight pain.

it is not in the joint but on that little bone. Its just bothersome...It dosn't hurt while doing chest either?

Anyone have an Idea of what this migh be or how to get rid of it. I am planning on starting a cycle in a week but don't know if I sholud wait or not?

hmmm not sure what it might be...but RADAR a while back recommended to me (while i was having shoulder/chest issues) STOP PAIN...i know it sounds generic but if you go to your local walgreens you will find it there....its a white spray pump with the words STOP PAIN on it...within 2-3 days...pain was gone...i mean it really worked...i wasnt able to bench before it..but after it i was back to 110%

I am going through this right now. I have been to the docs for the same thing. It could be a bone spur, rotator cuff injury, bursitis, tendonitis, or a compressed nerve. Most shoulder injuries are treated without surgery. Dips are the most common exercise causing injury to the shoulder. Take a few days off and see if it goes away.

I have a very similar problem with a pointy bone on the top of my shoulder. I know what it is from though I had an motorcyle accident and broke my clavical that didn't heal correctly. The pain is just like you described..just bothersome and irritating. Do you ever break any bones in your shoulder?

I will check out that spray for sure swordfish..thanks..

see I do bi's and Tri's the day after chest which puts a tad bit of strain on it but by shoulder day I don't feel anything until I do chest again....weird?

but if you find anything about your's darwinm let me know.....

No never broke any bones.....

You have a strain in the connective tissue to the clavicle.....doctors will tell you to lay off of it......when I did it just made it worse.....I did TONS of light weight laterals and within 2 weeks it was better.....LIGHT WEIGHT laterals...I mean 2 and 1/2 pounds to start and then slowly increased it to 5 lbs. Dont juice until its better or it may just rip right off.

agreed.... it's hard to pin-point where shoulder pain comes from... for years, I thought it was coming from the shoulder, then I realized it was a combo of shoulder tendonitis, problems with my neck and knots in my upper back....

definitely do some very light shoulder exercises / stretches every day.... ice it every day too (especially after training).... if after 1-2 weeks you don't see any improvement, go have it checked (MRI)

Thanks for the feedback.........I'll lay off the chest for a week for starters and do raises and try to Ice it and hopfully it will calm down......

you can try some of these too: http://www.fin.ucar.edu/sass/hess/e...rs.html#lateral

several times a day...helps keep the shoulder / neck muscles limber and keep pain at bay

Could be a bone spur of some sort...

i have the same pain, except mine has progressed so that i can no longer do dumbell flys or presses. the DR. says i have bone spurs and arthritus in both shoulders and that is's common in lifters.
it can be fixed with some sort of scope surgery-he said it takes about 15 min ea. and about 4 weeks recovery.

Could be bicep tendonitis.

The main connecting tendon goes from the top of the bicep along the inside of your shoulder connecting just below your collar bone. Ice it every night and things will start to go the right way.

top of the shoulder on the bone= AC joint inflammation

nothin to do but rest and get some deep tssue work done on your neck and upper back(especially the subscapular region)
