Well we all know the whole story the dalai lama pretty much handed tibet over to china in the 50's becuase he was only 16 yrs old and did not want his people to be sluaghtered by china.

So now that the people are protesting and hoping the protest will be seen on the tv during the olyimpics as the torch runs through tibet up to the mountian top.

That being said it's completely reasonable for people to boycott chinese shit for this........THAT"S the kind of stuff you do to exact change from a country. China is going to have to recognize that right now they don't "world class" respect.........they're just viewed as a cheap source of labor. I was against the Iraq war. I don't give a shit about what they're doing to monks in Tibet. The monks were doing the same thing to the peasants before China came into the picture, the monks just want their power back. The fact of the matter is that the US has an economic interest in maintaining good relations with China, it's symbiotic. They need consumers and we demand cheap goods. Hypothetically, China could dump their US debt on the market and destroy our economy, they would cause serious damage to their economy but we would get pwned by China.
