Shin Splints Like A B**ch!

for my cardio i usually run for about 20-30 minutes on the treadmill at a good 7 - 8 mph depending on how i feel that day. i used to run with no problems at all no shin splints nothing. i stoped cardio for a few weeks just cause i got lazy and didnt feel like it and just lifted. but i started back doing it and now my shins feel like their going to explode after just a few minutes, why is this? i had no issues then out of no where i can run and just have been using the resistance bike and elyptical machines. any thoughts? thanks
 
I have the same problem, even doing the jump rope for a few mins gives me is now. I never run anymore just ride my bike alot... running sucks anyway

Im not... I dunno about the guy above but my shin splints are really annoying... any ideas? Could it be the fact that because im young my shins arnt used to carrying round a heavy bodyweight so running and jump rope and stuff puts pressure on them?

Your bones are growing and you are putting lots of stress on them, you are bound to get sore at some point.
 
Could be from juice, could be from putting on alot of weight in a short amount of time, could be flat feet like i have. Theres alot of possibilities.
 
For me, I think the young bones, lots of weight thing is most likely... dunno about this dr.shavargo though...
