--> Shin Splints in the ForeArm <--

hayz

New member
Heres some weird shit for yas, Iv been lifing much heavier lately and i seem

to have developed shin splints in my left forearm. Iv had severe shin splints

in both legs before so i know what the pain is like.

There is a constant dull ache in the muscle under the Ulna bone. When at

work and i tweak it, fuck does it hurt. When working out, bicept curls are

almost impossible coz of the pain.

Iv never heard of anyone having this before. Has anybody heard of or had this shit?

You may have a possible pinched nerve in the 3rd or 4th vertabrae from your skull down.........the nerve ends at the elbow and goes through a nerve path in the shoulder area that can either pinch or pinch as it comes through the disc.......any pain in the delt?? How long have you lifted, neck pain radiating to your elbow from your shoulder?? Try doing forward neck exercises with a light plate and neck extensions very lightly, better yet see a doctor

i had this for a good ammount of time as well in my fore arms. this was last year. if your doing preacher curls cut them from your workout and just do hammer curls/ reg curls. maybetake some time off if needed, it feels like your fore arm could snap right? haha it does suck, but try and lift through it

Hey Yokel, im pretty sure its not a pinched nurve, dont have any pain in the delt. If it gets any worse i may go see a doc and get their advice, thanx for the idea though.

i have the same issue and YES it does feel like your forearm is gonna snap...for me the pain gets worse once i am done with my set...ive found that if i concentrate on keeping the back of my hand perfectly flat with the outside of my forearm the pain isnt as extreme try that for a little temporary relief...also try to strengthen your grip to help the muscles relieve some of the stress

Yer Mr White, its a pain in the ass, last few days iv been trying to change the way i curl seems to be a slight relief but not much.

The pain while im curling is barable but as soon as i stop and for about 10 seconds after i release my grip the pain is phenomenal. I reckon i could life so much more if i didnt have this shit damn it.

I cant take some time off because im mid cycle and im blowin up like a baloon, its fucking great. haha

yep, sounds like what i had. i know everyone wants to get massive quickly, however, this can also be dangerous, gaining too much size can put enormous ammounts of stress on bones when the muscle tissue develops so fast. this is one often talked about problem with steroids. ligaments, and tendons, as well as bones do not grow at the rate muscle tissue does while on juice, thus problems such as this arise. im not saying your arm will snap, but im saying you never know, the possibility that it really could probably isnt too far out there. cycle safe, cycle smart.

My training partner has had that off and on for 3 years. Heavy cheat curls makes it much worse. He just avoids the movements that hurts. He uses more DB's and machines.
Know bad pain from good, and avoid the bad. It's your body telling you something.

I got it about 4 months ago when one day I started lifting heavy on the straight bar.Ever since I got it i've been doing all reverse curls which doesnt hurt at all. just stay away from any normal curls for awhile. Must have torn a ligament or tendon. Try working out your forearms more cause thats where the pain is coming from just go light. after awhile if it doesnt go away just bite the bullet. ive been doing reverse grip for about 3months now
