Sheeeeet, tore my pec last night!!!!

hey man I have been there :)

my pec tear healed 100% now I never bench ever again :artist:

good call on your plan

I would do arms 2 times a week with maybe some side deltoids and trap work included ( shrugs)

I would do legs once a week , and then do cardio on the other days

I would not do any presses for delts or back work do to the nature of the pec ties ins to those opposing muscles.

I only train legs once a week now as it is, ever since I went to once a week my gains really started coming in. Such a large area of muscle tearing them down once a week is more than enough.

I'm not even going to attempt any upper body workouts for at least the next 3 weeks. Side delts would be out of the question at the moment, too much stress on the chest right now, maybe it will get better.

I'm mainly just going to concentrate on eating clean and allowing this time to be my "Cutting" time, I can really dedicate myself to it since it will be the only training I can really do.

How long did it take your pec tear to heal and how major was it? Did yours require surgery?

Do you or anyone else for that matter have any input on the addition of HGH during the recovery phase, which I would put (depending on severity) at the very least 2 months-6months maybe a full year.

I remember reading years ago about someone who I think injured their shoulder and added HGH during their recovery and it had a fairly large inpact on their recovery.

My only concern is that it may be pointless for me personally because of my age, being that I am 25 right now and I dont have supressed/decreased levels yet.

Here is another shot, now 20hrs after the inital tear. I'm starting to see an indentation there in the towards the top of the big red blur, see the lighter red line going down kinda vertical.

Jesus.. dude I can literally FEEL your pain just by looking at those pics!

Get well soon man!

Thanks, shit if you could see this in person you'd be like WTF? Like most people, freaks them out.

the body has amazing ability to heal itself... (especially with the help of a good doc) you'll be back in full training no time bro... just keep your head up in the meantime!!

aww sheet man thats looks bad. hope everything pans out, glad to hear your already in line with a specialist.

Thanks bros!! At least on the bright side, I dont have to do shit during sex but lay there. LMAO

I really wish this brusing and swelling would finally peak. Its just gradually getting worse. Still putting it on ice 20 minutes of every hour. I think I'll finally be able to sleep tonight. I have not slept since noon yesterday. I need sleep so bad to at least give my body a freaking rest and time to recoup.

Still wondering about the HGH bros anyone got any experience or solid advice PRO or CON??

Good luck bro ... I partially tore mine last year (no bruising) and it still is giving me trouble. Have gotten MRI and ultrasound and orthopedic assesments and theyve all come back good.

I trained BJJ all summer and fall with it being just a minor nuisance but I think I just made a bunch of scar tissue. Regardless its frustrating as fuck but fortunatley for me I dont plan/want/or need to do heavy lifting or put on size ever again.

This injury for me has been a blessing in disquise TBH because it humbles you, makes you look to other outlets for a healthy lifestyle, and has gotten my cardio up to par.

Good luck ...

*Also Kurt Angle had this happen 4 months before he won gold in 96'. Got surgery, healed and was good to go. Hes obviously a frak mentally and physically but keep your head up, if its a tendon rupture, or muscle detatched from tendon or bone its an extremely successful surgery and most people fully recover between 4 and 6 months.

***also with regards to GH ... Id go the IGF route whether its rehab or surgery. GH mediates it effect though IGF anyways ... this way you keep your pituiatary pumping out natty GH, and can shoot 20mcg IGF into the affected chst eod.

Theres numerous studies that prove IGF1 to be better @ healing muscle tears in animals and also increasing collagen synthesis (tendons material) by something like 575%.

Yes see a real MD ASAP, are your sure it is not a biceps tendon tear, because I tore my and it looked just like that.

It can be repaired but you need to see an orthopedic surgeon/sports medicine guy soon.
