The report said she was "fighting to the death" because she continued to fire on enemy positions until she ran out of ammo. She had already been shot at least once at that point. She WAS fighting to the death, hoping not to be taken alive by the enemy.

Well, I don't know where the fuck you've been, but the PHARMACIST that was "treating" her wasn't even aware of any injuries other than to her leg. Sounds to me like he wasn't giving a whole lot of treatment. As far a the rescue being "heroic", I think ANY rescue of ANY of our POW's is heroic no matter where they're being held. Let's not forget that the Repub Guard and Fedayeen are using hospitals and Mosques as shields for thier operations too. That i itself makes those places targets IMO.

That little girl is a hero, and she should get a Medal of Honor for fighting down to her last bullet before being captured.

On the contrary, they are far more "evil" than we are. Torturing Olympic athletes because they don't perform up to the govt's standards. We don't do that. Threatening the lives of men's wives and children if they don't undertake suicide bombing campaigns. We don't do that. Killing civilians who will not fight against the coalition. We don't do that.

There were good Iraqis that notified the US of her where abouts! The hospital was a POW torture headquaters for the Fedayeen! Sure it was a real "Hospital" with torture chambers, stacks of dead POW's and a tortured POW! Under the rules of war it had turned into a legitmate target in the international rules of war! Which we try to follow unlike Saddam! Where the fuck have I claimed all Iraqis are evil! Her captors gave her wounds, possible torture, no visits by the Red Cross, inadequate nourishment, no corrective surgery to repair her wounds and they executed her fighting brothers!

Her parents were on earlier & said she wasn't stabbed or shot. She had 1 surgery today to relieve some pressure on a nerve in her back... 'hopefully' it will bring the feeling in her feet back.

I think the real story is yet to come out.
