I am a former international athlete. I have been around the block with steriods and using them to aid in recovery from injuries. I have never used more than 1g per wk my body responds well to them. About 5 months ago I was in a serious accident and needed surgeries on my shoulder and knee. My shoulder was completely destroyed. The only thing left was my bicep tendon. My range of motion is slowly coming back but is not fully there. I can only bench 75 for 10 reps. Prior to accident 275 for 5x5. My knee is on the mend and am not as concerned with it (I have been through this one before).

I am thinking about running a little test 250-300mg/wk. The reason being is my energy levels are so low. After I get home from pt I generally need a nap. I have been off narcotic pain meds for almost 3 weeks now. I also have no appetite or sex drive. I have dropped over 30#'s since the accident. I am not really concerned about putting weight and being super strong I know that will come with time. I want to speed the recovery process. My main concerns are will the gas have an effect on my range of motion and do I need to wait for my ligaments and tendons to heal longer before using any drugs. The docs have cleared me to do what ever feels OK in terms of weight training

Thanks for your input

AAS does not strengthen tendons, nor does it build them. AAS will not help much in this area. You may consider rHGH - that would be a much better choice.

BTW - Sorry to hear about your accident. I am glad to hear you are working towards a full recovery

I think test is fine just like you described. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF TRYING TO TRAIN TO HARD TO FAST!! If you go on the cycle, your strength will progress MUCH faster than your ligaments and tendons will heal. I don't think there is a real reason to stack, but a little eq might not be a bad addition. hGH would be a great addition imo. Take it easy and remember it's rehab!

I'd also make sure my diet is great, vitamins/minerals, aminos and protein, msm/glucosamine/chondroitin as a few basic supps...

Thank you for your kind wods black sheep. I realize that AAS do not aid in the recovery of tendons. My concern is shoulder range of motion...and if my tendons and ligaments are strong enough to handle strengh increase from gas. My arm was immobile for 2 full months and have had unbeleivable atrophy (especially to the rear delt). I was referring to speeding the recovery process in terms of battling the atrophy that has occurred and also lethargy that accompanies your bodies rebuilding process when recovering from an injury
