Serious Concern !!

I am on a current cycle of Test Cyp @ 800mg / week, Deca @ 600mg/ week and Eq @ 600mg/ week.. Also taking Arimidex.. To date, I have had no bad side effects to speak of.. Just the geneal oily skin, and light annoyances.. Early in my cycle, I slipped on my walk one night, and lightly twisted my right ankle.. It wasnt bad at all, but due to a previous injury many years back, it got pretty swollen.. I attribute that to some water retention as well.. Well, tonight it is swollen as hell.. My left one is lightly swollen as well, but nowhere near as much.. They look like old lady ankles.. I cant even see my achieles (sp ) tendon.. Is this something to be concerned about ?? I need some opinions on this.. I would think it had something to do with my blood pressure, except I am not experienceing any other BP related symptoms, such as headaches, letharagy, etc... Any and all thoughts / suggestions needed..

Thanks,

Steelplate

Swelling in the ankels is always a cause for concern, some time it means nothing, but it could indicate congestive heart failure. Often if this is the case your bp can drop to below normal readings. If it persists I would see a doctor.

Have you tried icing it to see if that takes the swelling down. That's be my first course of action.

What is the danger of your blood pressure droping below normal readings ?? I am not familiar with what the out come of this can be.. I would guess that it would have something to do with my BP, before I would think it indicated congestive heart failure.. Though anything can be possible.. If it is still swollen after the weekend, I will go to my doctor.. If it gets any worse, I will go Friday.. Didnt even think about icing it ( thank you ).. Probablly go chill on the couch, and elevate it too.. Cover as many bases as I can....... In my first post, I listed my current cycle.. I forgot to add in that I have just recently add'ed in the Eq, and am front end loading.. My next injection will be my third.. Any idea's if this could have anything to do with it ??

Thanks,

Hey Andy, how's it going? Have you come across my post asking about the indirect efffects of androgens/anabolics on adipocytes? If you have anything to add I'd be grateful.

I'm no doctor but they use Lasix to reduce swelling like that in congestive heart failure patients. Usually 20mg daily is an average dose although some doctors go higher if immediate results are not seen. The cycle shouldn't do much but raise your BP a little since you are taking Arimidex(usually seems to lower it). I'd go to the Doc.................

pedal edema - swelling of the feet.

Not good - oftentimes it is a pump problem(heart) as someone else mentioned it can be a sign of CHF(congestive heart failure). Next your lungs could fill with fluid and you will have gurgling breathing.

Go see a doctor.

Swelling of the lower extremities could indicate heart failure in the right chambers of the heart. Fluid in the lungs is a failure in the left chambers of the heart. Lowered bp along with swelling of the feet and ankels, or fluid in the lungs are warning signs of heart failure. RICE won't do any thing if this is the case. If you only have a sprain RICE is the answer, but you are saying that you also have swelling in the uninjured ankel as well. This gives a cause for concern. If it is CHF it does not mean that you are going to die or anything, it just means that you need treatment. As far as I know steroids are not a causeative factor in CHF. T-3, excessive eca use and the like have been known to bring it on.

RICE as was mentioned but you should really go check it out. All the swelling will probably end up damaging muscle/tendon tissue and leave that famous SCAR tissue that is so fun to deal with. See a doc and put and end to that swelling ASAP!!!!
