Sensitive skin at injection site

Hey guys,

I'm curious about something. Sometimes when I inject, everything is fine, hardly feel a thing. But there's been a couple of times I've noticed that the skin feels very sensitive to pain for some reason. Just right there at the skin at penetration. Makes me want to pull back and not pierce the skin.

Do I just have a bad spot with a nerve there? Seems like in this case I just felt like my whole quad was going to be like that, so I just did my delt instead. I've also had this happen to my glute, then I just switched to another site.

Is this common?

Happens to me too. Hurts bad bad for no reason, 1/2 a cm over, nothing. Dunno what it is, but if you poke thru the skin, it stops

Totally normal bro, jus poke through and it's back to pain free again... I never even really thought about why this occurs. Just always jabbed er on through either way haha

You have more nerve ending in skin than muscle, its perfectly normal to for it to be more painful initially and once your in the muscle the pain subsides
