Second P/w Meal?

After u work out i will usually have some carbs like yams or oat meal, then recently i have been having a gatorade with the meal (friend told me this was a good idea) along with a chicken for protien. but im wondering 2.5-3hrs later what should i eat? should i go back to fats/protien, or would another carb meal be best? thanks.,
 
right after you should be consuming high gi carbs or even better yet, SUGAR. Get some dextrose and throw it in with whey protein. Eat your yams and oatmeal 2-3 hrs after workout along with a good time releasing protein.
 
thats what the gatorade was for. i usually switch up chicken and egg whites for my protien, is this fine, or is the chicken alot better then egg whites? thanks
 
Both are great choices (chicken/eggs). I combine them sometimes, like a breast with 3-4 egg whites. I'm also a fan of tuna a few hours post workout
 
I usually have something like:

Carbs : Pasta/Brpwn Rice/Yam/Oatmeal
Protein: Chicken/Fish/Eggs
ALWAYS HAVE veggies or salad

and make a meal out of it :)

Yesterday i had some pasta with diced chicken breast cooked in pasta sauce with veggies

If im in a rush sometiems just zzap some oatmeal and a pro shake
 
is gatorade a good source of "sugar" p/w or should i eat/drink something else? thanks.
