i met this kid at the last apf meet i did in NY and he is the real deal. biggest 198 ive ever seen, and legit too, he doesnt do the dehydrating from 225 and then an IV for 2 days after weighins.

585x1 looks like a 3 board

that is pretty good. You are right, he is a stout 198.

there are some laughable videos of the guy that lifted him off (Nick Saccone) doing some quarter squats after the Scott Sceppe one is done. This makes me wonder, how much higher is a legal squat in wpo then ipf?

About 4" give or take a bit depending on the lifter.

Cheers,

yeah its a joke really. im going to go lift in a few apf meets soon hopefully when i get my squat on track just to see what i can do. @ 198 ive walked out 700 and smoked it with a single ply titan so at 205-210 with 4 plys of gear and a half squat im lookin at around 850-900, and no im not joking.

i met saccone too and that guy is HUGE he weighed in at 415 at the meet we where at lol. wicked nice guy

You really can't fault the athlete. It's the judges and powerliftings #1 prick Kieran Kidder.
At some point people will need to boycott that organization or be blackballed - I hope.

oh it is happening, hell be done soon without a doubt. and im definatly not taking anything away from the lifters, hell i said i want to do an apf meet with 4plys and a half squat lol. if it passes in that fed, than its a level playing field right

I read where Ernie Frantz is steping back into organizing powerlifting federations and meets. He's also moving to Vegas. I hope he starts his own powerlifting friendly Gym here as well. I love Golds East Vegas, but there's still to many foo foo powder puff trainers here.
Actually I have nothing against multi - ply equipment, duct tape, ect. as long as the lifter breaks parallel in the squat, makes a complete pause on the bench with a total lockout, and is able to lock out the deadlift - that means both knees locked back and the back erect with shoulders back.
I love Andy Bolton, but none of his lifts would have cut it in the IPF even with a drug and equipment waiver.
