I will never disrespect the man. Arnold has been my Idol since I was a child and probably always will be, when it comes to bodybuilding. First of all, who knows where this sport would be without him. Second, believe it or not, but YES, everyone does get old, and NO, as you grow older you cannot keep the body you had while in your 20s. It is sad that those pictures of Arnold on the beach got out, if that even is him, and it is even more sad to see them posted on a message board related to bodybuilding, IT PISSES ME OFF!!!

Very very disappointing, show some respect to the man who made this sport that we all take part in what it is today.

Modern bodybuilding is a joke sadly , Arnold albeit a former hero of mine did a lot of promotion of the sport and the Weiders sadly who are mostly responsible. He should have outed them for the crooks they are and has yet to redeem himself. In fairness today he is a pretty honest guy when speaking privately but he too knows who butters his bread...

Mandika, you talk about how Lou stays in shape year round, and Arnold's training is shit blah blah blah... Did you know Lou trains the same way as Arnold? Each muscle 2-3x a week. Infact thats how all the guys from back then trained, most still do up until this day. These guys had incredible genetics, and know how to train their bodies. Just because it doesn't work for you, doesn't mean you should knock it. Because chances are you don't have the genetics they do. Sure theres juice, but nothing like today, and nothing like what you see even some newbies taking on the board.

"I read it in this book" blah blah blah blah. Where you around in the 70's? Did you see what these guys took? Oh, wait, you read it in a book. We've seen Sofa, Realgains and Nelson post about what kind of dosages these guys took, and these are guys that where there during the golden years of bodybuilding. And it's not massive amounts. I'll take first hand experience rather than what someone read in a book and swears is true.

Easy Frackal. It is a funny picture and it is amazing that he could get back into the kind of shape he is showing in T3. But for being 56 and having heart surgery he looks average and for being Arnold he looks bad.

Here is a full size image for everyone:

I'll be back!

I don't believe that is Arnold.

Louie trains a lot yes , but he actually likes to train , he never goes off like Arnold , so of course it is much easier for him to keep muscle than Arnold. Ever come off a cycle and stop training , can u say "shrink"?

Some did , some didnt know how to train , Sergio Oliva was a true freak , Arnold not IMO but nice arms. You might well be right , take a look at my pic , Arnold was way bigger but I will never be prepared to take the risks he did , 45mg of d-bo in a single dose? Roids were legal man , they didnt know about the dangers back then , now let's see , in such an environment , can u imagine what the guys on this board woul suggest?

Did you see what these guys took? Oh, wait, you read it in a book.

I've posted on some of those very same threads, I've read numerous steroid books alluding to Arnold's love of high dosages (W.A.R. , USM etc.,Ducahine articles) . When I was younger I thought Arnold was the shit, then I read everything I could get my hands on about the guy and he just isn't that rosy for me anymore. He was a bully in the gym , he scared other lifters with drug use , Oliva was denied because Weider couldn't make money off of him. Mentzer was shit on from a skyscraper (even Arnold admitted that). Pro - bodybuilding is a grubby shit-stained sport , head ove to T-Mag and read up on it , they have some terrific articles.
