Sniff....sniff........

Absolutely incredible movie. No doubt about it.

I couldn't help but suck up some sobs when the mother
of the four Ryan's gets the 3 telegrams simultaneously.

That was pretty harsh.

I loved that movie! It is supposed to be based on a true story as well.

the only movie that has ever made me cry

especially at the end when pt ryan is standing over the captains grave and he asks if he has lived a good enough life in his eyes

it really broke me down

Did that to me 3 times. They don't make men like WWII produced.
My dad caught the tail end of WWII, he married late and had me late, he is absolutely furious about what has happened to this country.

I was kidding. I got something in my eye, too. It was a little manipulative but I am sure that people have really gone through what he went through and that is what made it real.

man nothing like that will ever happen again. We would have caualties, but nothing like back in those days when they used men as human sandbags. These days we fight from afar.

I don't blame him. Not one bit.

Because all of my peers are MTV-worshipping, sex-obsessed sheep who have no ability whatsover to think for themselves, my social life consists of lurking in this place and talking, through AIM, with the few worthwhile people I have met in my life. I can count the number on one hand.

I love college. And Nathan.

That was an amazing movie. I don't remember getting teary eyed but it definetely is about as close to real war as you can get. Hopefully nothing like that will ever happen again. Well then, maybe I did get teary eyed after all.

Bush is close to waging war if Iraq doesn't comply with UN weapons inspections... So unfortunately, it might happen again.

Only three movies have made me tear up: Saving Pvt Ryan, The Green Mile, and Schindler's List.

The Green mile?????

I agree that it was a sad story but not that heart wrenching.

Its just too surreal. Not believable.

Doesn't hit me as hard as stories based on real events.

Saving Private Ryan and Schidlers List do affect me much more, because they're more real.

I'm still surprised nobody mentioned Titanic.......LOL

Fonz, re titanic, it IS scary, because it's real, you think, shit, those people really did drowna dn freeze to death...

But Schindler's List made me cry a lot more. Haven't seen SPR because I am afraid to watch it.

It was a great movie. I have it on DVD and about once a month, I watch it and it only gets better.

I have never volunteered to work in a nursing home but I visit them regularly and talk to the people there. People I don't even know. It is one of the most satisfying things I know of. It's amazing what the older, wiser people can teach you about life. Hell, I'm 41 and I still learn about things I don't know about from them. Good people but very lonely people. Visiting them really makes a difference in their lives. Good job Oak! Karma to you!
