Saints looking at severe punishment for bounty system

Ya, read this whole thing last night.
They will get punished, but who gives a shit if they won the super bowl that year.
Maybe this is the real reason Drew's contract hasn't been announced yet.

the game of professional football has changed/mutated so much over the last few years that it is now a shell of its former self...i believe that this trend will continue (and possibly even speed up, due to the lawsuits being filed by former players with brain injuries) to the point that, ten years from now, the game will be almost unrecognizable...it's sad...but inevitable.

It already is from 20 years ago, the rules will continue for the offense.
NFL is at it's highest ratings ever right now though, they know what they're doing.

i believe that trend will also begin to wane as things continue to mutate...i could be wrong but, i'll bet i'm not.

The whole brain injury lawsuit crap is laughable. If you didn't know bashing your gourd week after week would be a bad thing, you didn't have anything worth suing over to begin with. Nobody made the play the game. They can fuck off.

that may or may not be true, but the outcome in a court of law will likely not have much to do with what those people know or should have known...and, the concern created by the publicity of this issue has already begun to have an impact on schoolboy football...people everywhere are discouraging they're kids from playing...the talent pool will suffer greatly as a result...the quality of the game will soon begin to wither on the vine...you can teach people not to use their heads to tackle and block and run people over but, at game speed, that shit goes right out the window...concussions are an inevitable by-product of the game.
