Well... the representatives we voted into office are the ones who made the amendment - Not some trannical dictator - not the President (though he did approve it - had he vetoed it, that could have been overridden by Congress). If the 16th Amendment was considered an "abuse" by a majority of the voting citizenry, it would never have been proposed because congressman like to remain Congressman. If you want to abolish the federal income tax, you have a means of doing so. Organize with all those who agree with you and tell your Congressman that you will not vote for them unless they support an Amendement abolishing the IRS.

Unfortunately for you, not many people share your view of the IRS and it being an "abuse...to oppress people."

Honestly...not to disrespect the Constitution or anything...but the second amendmant is a fucking outdated piece of bullshit that people use to their advantage. The right to form militias?!?!?! This was written back in the day, when there would actually be a reason to form militias and carry firearms. Not for people in 2003 to carry full auto rifles, sawed of shot guns, explosives and murder 12 people.

It pisses me off when people bring up the 2nd amendmant.
