Well, as promised (albeit late) here's my update of that rsv250 I had made street legal.
Frist thing I noticed is it's zippy, so zippy it deserves some serious respect. It's a great 0-60 time. In fact, it beat my wife's monster 600 off the line.
It passed my "20 car stop sign test". On my ride into work there is a four way stop that always has like 20 cars at each sign. And like all bikers, we pull in the clutch and do a little balancing act. And sometimes, with a 500 pound bike, it get's hairy. But with this baby, it was a cake walk. It weighs a bit over 300 pounds, so it handles Awesome.
It also passed my "I-680 at 7AM" test. Normally on this particular highway, at this particular time traffic is stand-still, and I weave between cars. Which after 5 miles can get tiresome. But I swear I can weave for hours and not get tired.
It's light, fast, handles awesome and has 73 horsepower (after the kit was added).
One problem though, I got pulled over twice in one week. Simply because the cops (motorcycle cops) wanted to "make sure it's street legal".
