Good routine?

I was wondering if this was at all better since I feel the Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps combo might be to much stress on the upper body for 1 day...

doing chest and triceps on the same day will result in you not being able to maximize your workout on whichever you do 2nd. same with back and biceps. split them up.

tqpew if you call yourself a pro BB you oviuosly dont know what your talking about. Both those routines are set up nicely and there is nothing wrong with them at all. Now if your a so called volume trainer which I can tell you are. No you will not be able to maximize your workouts on a routine like this.

Take a look at the Generals Workout! JamesK as long as you train high intensity low volume you can tax and train chest, tris, shoulders 110% all in the same workout and have them grow twice as fast as someone working out 1 bodypart a day.

Though those routines are nicely set up they should have a rest day thrown inbetween day 1-2 and day 2-3.

day 1 workout

day 2 rest

day 3 workout

day 4 rest

day 5 workout

ect depending on your recovery ability. The body needs rest to grow.

ok if you go with legs shoulders day you have to have an extra rest day. But if you go with your first choice its better for strength and growth.

Look Up "The Generals Workout" it will explain to you on how to low volume train with maximal results. Actually I think its at the bottom of the first page of threads on this discussion board.

The workouts I posted above do have rest days... The days are labeled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. So Tuesday and Thrusday are rest days, along with Saturady and Sunday. But I will look up and check out your Workout.

The second split looks solid for a 3 day routine. The rest days are up to you and should be used where you need them. Both splits look good though.
