Ronnie Coleman : Freak show in Brazil

Ronnie Coleman is in Brazil.
Now, he appeared in a tv show last sunday and the call was "STRONGEST MAN IN THE WORLD".So far, so good. When he entered the stage ( clearly off season) , after some stupid questions like "Do you take vitamins", the host called a wild animal trainer, that placed an scorpion and a spider on Ronnie's body. After that, Ronnie hugged a chimpanze( sp?), and after he leaved, the host said: "Well, now that we are done with the monkey business"...
The very next day he was in another show being interviewed by a Drag queen ...."she"asked him what did he think of a famous brazilian blonde ( who does anabolics ) and he said she was very interesting. Thing is there was a link with another studio where the blonde and her boyfriend, Ultimate Fighting champion Victor Belfort, were watching, and Victor said that Ronnie wouldn't last in a ring and that the king of the jungle was the lion, not the elephant. They did not translate, and the Drag kissed Ronnie , who had a silly smile all the time, and ended the interview.
Next sunday, they are annoucing "The strongest man in the world takes another challenge", and they will put Ronnie in a cage with a lion( probably toothless).
Man, does he know what he is doing?
Is it really necessary to degradate yourself so much to make a few bucks?There was him, in the stage, with a fucking spider and his arm, and people in the audience pointing and laughing..
He was being exibited like a circus atracttion...
Man, I'm ashamed...

Low level Brazilian TV exhibits Ron Coleman

Yes, it is all true.

But I see both sides of the medal. First, I can immagine that
Rone Coleman had no idea what the Brazilian TV planned to do
with him.
I live in Brazil too, and in my opinion there is no more bullshit on
TV than here. The presenters are incredibly ignorant and stupid.
The overall level is lower than low. It is a big shame for the
country. They invite such a great athlete and treat him like
a clown.
To be honest, I was much more shocked by the low level TV
than by Rone Coleman's behaviour. I guess, he was just
having the money in his head all the time.

I agree , German, and wrote that I was ashamed myself, such a waste to have a great champion to do that...But, still, RC had to know something, nobody just comes and places a scorpion in your arm without you knowing in advance... What kind of agent does he have?
He is probably thinking: What the hell, no one will ever see that ...
Brazilian TV is a shame, but Ronnie is not innocent...
And he is representing Bodybuilding, for God sakes... He can say NO, can't he?

Just turned off the TV after one more appearence by Mr. Coleman. He was in this cage, with a very cool lion, an artist who was drawing the lion, and the trainer, who insisted that Ronnie fed the lion with some beef, but he graciously declined and moved to the door, shaking the bars until someone let him out.
However, due to numerous complains from brazilian bodybuilders( myself included), he was well treated by the host, who claimed him as being Mr Olympia, who is travelling around the world showing not only his superior physique, but the glory of bodybuilding ( I sort of took some poetic liberty on this translation...).
I could have paid U$100 to watch him training this morning, but I'll save it for the juice...
Well, so much for Mr Coleman in Brazil...
