Rolled Car, Rollllllled Back

Ok, not to whine:bawling: but after my 6x roll fest with my car this Sunday my back is still pissed off. I worked out today but it was HELL, fucking hell. Everytime I would bend over to pick up a plate I thought I was going to die. I had to do my shoulder presses with the cable machine instead of dumbbells because I couldn't handle the pick-up motion (bend over, swing heavy db's..etc).

It looks like it's my right side internal/external rotators.. Anybody else go through this? Would a back belt allow me to get back into full swing with cranking iron?

After that kind of accident...you can't really expect to be back in the gym going full force this soon. You need to give your back full time to recover or else you are really going to screw it up worse than it already is. Take a few days or even a week off and see how you feel...I know it will suck, but sometimes you just have to do things like that.

my sister got a wreck. She flipped three times then rolled four.

Now she has to wear something for her teeth because she grinds them at night. Its like a retainer, a splint i think its called. She has knots in her neck too. Really sucks.

Perhaps the first step would be to stop rolling cars, good luck with your back, back injuries aren't fun...glad you are not in jail for manslaughter.

True, but I'm going to try a belt - what the hell.. Belts actually act as your internal/external rotators so it may do it for now.. I'll just reduce the volume, etc and modify how I workout for a while..

UPDATE

Cranked out Iron today - mainly did a cross training kind of "feel where I am" workout.. Did hack squats instead of regular and had little trouble with back - already healing. Of course I upped my cycle doses, throwing in Halo - Halo is Your Friend tm :wavey: and upping the winny..

About 90% already..

Just an update - About 95% - have some sciatic (or however you spell it) issues where I have some pain running down my right leg at times (especially when sitting) - but hell, if I had a nickle for every time I'm in pain I'd be retired..

Squatting back to normal - mostly, I'm cutting down the weight a bit for a little while.. Bought another car Friday (after fighting with the insurance company for about 2 weeks on value of totaled one) - Went with an Accura RL, good deal on a 2001 model... Black of course.
