Its been about 5 months now and if you're only benching the bar, you have some serious problems.
Just like Flex Bailey, I also tore my left pec tendon right off the bone almost a year ago while benching. It was horrible and I could actually hear it make a tearing sound like velco. Then the bar dropped like a ton of bricks. I saw an orthopaedic doc as soon as possible, got an MRI and had the surgery within a week and a half.
Rehabing it was pure hell. To this day I still feel a little pain while heavy benching, probably from scar tissue. The pec doesn't quite "look" right but its functional. I've worked my way back up to a 275lb bench for a few reps. I tore it while benching 405.
