Before this gets moved.

Since real men don't talk about this - I'm going under the knife friday to improve my breahting, make my nose smaller - and perhaps decrease my snoring. I'm pretty excited.

He's a good doc, and i've done tons of homework. Rhino is a very complex surgery, but fortunately mine isnt that complex cuz not that much is being changed outside.

But wish me luck - and everyone give me a group hug. Some of you are forbidden from grabbing my ass tho.

it's actually the opposite believe it or not.

i got bad snoring, and shudder the day i have a wife. Hopefully this'll fix that.

can we get some before/after pics?

I had a deviated setptum. Had surgery on that, but it didn't change anything cosmetically. If you are reducing the size of your nose, that is costmetic bro whether you like it or not. It could be a functional sugery, but still have cosmetic effects and you'd better be going to someone who is a member of F.A.C.S.
 
Do they give you prescribed cocaine or is that just rumour? good luck with the surgery. I thought about getting the surgery where they essentially burn back into your nasal cavities because I snore badly and it wakes me up a lot.
 
good luck bor :) dont worry too much about having an elephant face for a couple of days, it goes down quickly

also, id do it maybe. as attached as i am to my nose (and vice versa) changing it a bit would make me appealing to more cultures. lots of white girls have been used and abused by greeks in the past (ooooopa lol) and my nose is a bit of a givaway that theyre dealing with someone slippery ;)

if i get rhino im going to pretend to be part french. but only to white chicks. ;)
 
most complications (revisions) are due to poeple messing with their tips. if you just lower your bridge, and have it as a closed procedure - it's pretty straightforeward. So u won't have a micheal jackson nose.

so it's like 3 procedures in 1 for me. Yes he's very well recommended and i went to a lot of consults.

I know loads of people that have had that done and other stuff..

I am a man and will admit that I had rhinoplastic/septoplastic surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyways, the left side of my nose was completely closed and it was almost impossible to breathe cause of allergies, post nasal drip, ect. So that the was primary reason for having surgery. While having the deviated septum fized, the dr. also did a little cosmetic work, but nothing too drastic, which was only secondary.
 
bout couple months later.

nose is GREAT. breathe great, and i look so much better. plus it's not too obvious. people notice something different - but can't figure what it is, so they say nothing. but i can clearly see it. plus when u are mnore 'beautiful' people start treating u differently. kinda cool :)

yeah, only guy in boot camp whose had a nose job. haha. then again, only guy in boot camp who can rip out eruption by van halen too on guitar!
 
Anyone whose had it done, how much weight did you lose? I really want a rhinoplasty done, but bodybuilding is top priority and even having my wisdom teeth out made my weight plummet. If I could be back in the gym and eating big after a week I would do it, but more than that I'd really have to think about it.

I had mine done on a Friday and went to law school on the following Monday just fine. My surgery involved breaking the nose in a few places and shaving the bone down. My doc said that my recouperation time was unbelievable, but I don't think you would be out of the gym more than a couple of weeks or so. Your body would bounce right back and your nose is PERMANENT.

It was one of the best things I ever did for myself.

i had the rhino/septo as well, my breathing is awesome now. took me about a week to want to get up and go outside to do anything, b4 couldnt breath at all out of right side i had to sleep on my left side only, now clear as a bell
 
i had my nose done .. got into a fight and my nose got broke and a big bump was on my nose like rooster.. they shaved the bone ..and straightened it .. nose looks way better now
 
i so highly suggest 1-2 (maybe 3) operations.

sure it costs $ - but if it's strictly rhino - it's MUCH easier to slowly take off, and heal, and reevaluate your nose - then get more work done

then chop it all off in one shop, just cuz you wanna save $. And then 1 year later "dammit!" - you took too much off, or it looks bad.

Then of course, you blame the doc who had a whopping 45 mins to do everything.

It's your nose. And money. Decide what's important to you. Cameron Diaz's nose was over 3 visits.

I had a nose job and small chin implant...one of the best things I have ever done in my life besides getting into weightlifting and going to college... getting girls is 100X easier and people treat you way better... I might post some pics up later
 
my nose is kinda wide for my face, i wanna get it done , so that it's narrower, wish you guys would post up some pix already!

you might inspire a few of us to go ahead and get it done.

i think those type of noses are harder to fix bro lol ..
 
Anyone have some pics showing before and after. I was thinking of going under the knife myself...but kinda skeptecal about which doctors are good in the new york city area. I always had a perefect nose growing up then after puberty my nose kept growing..it looks ok justa little bit big for my taste. thinking it might help with the self confidence a bit.
 
my nose is kind of narrow for my face. Also my eyes are too close together, so i am thinking of getting harsh carniofacial surgery to move the position of my eye sockets, then afterwards get my nose made bigger. (yes, it is possible to reposition your eyes, just not every doctor is willing to do it for cosmetic purposes). Can they make upper part of your nose bigger?
 
I bet 3 Messicants already popped Razorcookie in his nose by now.
 
anything that makes you feel better is fine in my book. and if it help with the breathing, snoring, etc that's just a bonus.
