Reverse hyperextensions for back pain

Anyone had experience using the reverse hyperextension machine in regards to back pain? My back gets tight from my job and workouts and I'm thinking about breaking down and buying one.

The good one is ridiculously expensive........it's made by Simmons. They've got some dinky infomercial type out there, but I'd rather build a work bench and attach some weights to my ankles.

Or you could try a foam roller.

You can directly work lower and/or upper back. 10-20 reps per area should do it. Costs about $20.

Good way to also stretch the lower back, which is just a necessary to help relieve some of your lower back pain.

foam rollers are great, but for powerlifting a reverse hyper would really be a great tool

alot of back pain comes from weak glutes and the rev hyper will def help with that problem
as well as torque the spine to decompress it
