rEVERSE gRIP bENCH

triceps, mainly. instead of reg. close grip press, the reverse grip just hits 'em at a different angle. its weird at first but a nice exercise.

i never do reverse grips free weight, if you do them do them in the smith machine or definitely have a spotter. I'd just stick to close grip benches

Agreed. I think they're more trouble than they're worth, kinda like kickbacks. Stick with regular close-grips.

If you wanna try something really challenging, try reverse grip skulls.

I find they work extremely well for building lockout strength on bench and working the long head of the tricep. Due to a wrist injury close grip is very difficult for me to do but these have worked very well for me. Just start out very light and work your way up to heavier weights. When I started I could barely do 185 now I have done reps up to 335 on them.

Cheers,
Scotsman
