I'm at this restaurant on 9th ave right now.
I have a reservation, but we are a little early and the two other people for my table are not here yet. There is only chair left at the bar...
So I am standing at the bar while Melohh sits.
Restaurants have this BS rule they don't seat you until your whole party is there.
Meanwhile I see 4 open tables just looking around.
When this young dude told me we had to wait I said, "what a bullshit rule" outloud, lol.
He said he was sorry, lol.

You wait @ the bar + buy drinks = $$$$$$ for them

Plus, picture this: Three couples and two tables, all incomplete parties. How would you even know which couple to make wait?

it's maximum utilization of space. in new york, where the price per sq foot to do business is outrageously high, it's a pragmatic business tactic. if you have a bunch of incomplete tables, and there's a full party there waiting for a table to open up.....that means the business is losing money and the turnover rate is longer.

come on entrepreneur. you should be able to see the practical aspect of this

that only applies to youtube videos and throwing sick parties at a holiday inn express

Thanks CEO, lol.
It is a friend (a girl) and I was meeting her BF for the first time. (She just broke up with my other friend)
Melohh told me after hung out that his father is a famous music producer (he is in law school)
She was like.. you know that song (not saying it), ya that's her Dad's, lol. No way, lol! (An older song that is used on TV for a lot now for stuff)

Ya, I guess there could be an economic component to it for sure. At the same time the customer needs to be managed properly.
