Like with any Petition, you need lots of people to voice their opinion. This is not a rag session, but a feedback issue. I mean Seastone & others had some lovely galleries. Now with all the changes, it is like the whole Gallery thing is awful.

I mean if this is the final version of Galleries, they should scrap it and really save bandwidth. This version is a pain on many levels. The voting stuff is gay and keeps hotties like Seastone from posting up. I have personally had some trouble using the IMG tags etc and copy location (right click) features.

Also, there seems to be something preventing me from using "right click" and getting the image location. Copy Image Location allows to post the pic from the Gallery to a thread using the IMG tags.

My IMG tags haven't been working since the cut over. I also hate the rating and comments. Can you imagine all the rediculous comments Seashell would be geting? Like a Beavis and Butthead commentary on every picture " uhhh hahaha nice boobs" etc...

Before, if you were plat you could see full size, flip through galleries, and navigate around easily. This chang seems to have tarnished the excellent gallery system you had in place.

Also, I can't seem to use the IMG tags and insert an "Image Location" from another site, into the thread I am trying to show the pic. But then even when I save, upload, right click, I cant get the IMG LOCATION for IMG tags.

I just liked our old system as far as the Gallery goes. We dont need a member comments, ratings, and all that stuff. We just need to access and see and "copy image location".

Thanks for hearing our voice. The site is looking good, and running smoothly for the most part. I just know several people have mentioned the images and galleries just haven't been as good as before. That is the only feature I can say I really miss from pre VB3 days.

All I know is the galleries arent being used much anymore, we may be better off without a gallery if it is using so much bandwidth and no one really uses it anymore.

you are not alone DT. Many Platinum Bors love the Gallery System that was in place. It was easy to navigate and was a definate plus for PLats!! Now dont go and say you might not renew bro. We need to pay our $.30 a day to support our favorite fitness site.

I think we all agree, we need to tweak the Gallery System a bit. I dont have the answers to the hows and the dynamics involved. I just know, the Gallery function has fallen off and it was a favorite feature of mine a few weeks ago.
I am not about to stop being plat, I just wanted to speak up and see if we have any options which might improve the Gallery System.

Overall, I like the new board. I just miss easy access and member friendly Galleries. I definately agree we should get rid of the ratings and comments.

I would say you are incorrect. I would guess it requires more bandwidth to post pics in full size in a thread than just posting the link. I believe JB and DT have explained by using the page source one can use IMG tags to post what is in an ef Gallery.

Can we get a response on the 7 ideas we bring forth to the powers that be?

The only issue i see wrong with the galleries is that I can't look through the thumbnails by pages. i have to singularly click through every picture to find a pic. I don't know if doing it the old way eats up bandwidth or what.

I posted these pictures using the Attach Files feature. Everyone has this option when they Post or Reply to a thread -- it is in the Additional Options section but is easy to miss because it is below the first Submit button -- also, you need to use the regular reply not the quick reply to get the Additional Options. I like this better than the old boards because you can now upload 5 pics at once.

I agree, if you surf EF, there is no reason you can't afford <.30 a day to be a PLat. Remember you can mail a check, use a money order to remain anonymous, you can also use a credit card or Paypal to pay $36 for 4 months.

I think I am not understanding what you mean by #1 and #2. We want the Plats to have as much bandwidth as they like because they are in effect paying for it. We just cannot afford the bandwidth for the free accounts with unlimited pics. That's why the Plats have no restrictions and the free accounts have some. Are we talking about the same thing?

Regarding #3, no offense taken, I'm sure Elite is not essential to your life. But it is a great place for fun, diversion, and exciting conversation... and it does seem to mean enough to you that you choose to spend several hours here every day.

Most of us are Plat and do support the site. Why is it a big deal to turn on the right click functions? This is not about getting around paying for PLATINUM GEORGE. I do pay and I am not happy about not being able to post pics in my gallery whenever I want to into a thread. I am not alone here.

Okay, this illustrates my point exactly. Image tags once from a picture in attached to george's post earlier, and another pic from my Gallery: NO WORKY!! I can go to other websites and copy image location and post here with tags fine. BUT, what about if I want to post out of my gallery or another gallery into a thread? What if I want to save a pic in someones gallery of Jamie Pressley and use it later for an avaatar?

We need to right click to get image location. It is about functionality for Plats, not getting around paying for plats. Why cant we right click and save, and right click to get image location from our own Platinum Gallery?

#6) I am plat a dizen times over. I want to use the IMG tags to post a pic full size in a thread, from my gallery. Also I may want to save a special pic "someone" puts in the Gallery for me, but if I cant right click, I cant save it or post the image location.

#7) IMG tags are available yes. The Image Location for inside the tags (from EF Galleries) is not available. Same as saying: no more posting or saving from the Galleries to the threads. Was this some BIG ISSUE before the cut over? I think not. I dont think people use tags to post from a gallery to help non plats get around paying $9 a month or .30 a day.

I think it is rediculous to not allow right click access for plats in member galleries. I am not helping non plats, I want to post something from my gallery like a "STFU PHtoshop" or a you are Geigh Photoshop from Wodins Gallery. Please turn on right click for save and IMG location for your plats. This new system is restricting to your Platinum Members.

Right now, we do not allow the posting of images that have a ? in the URL. This is to prevent hacking of the site. Try posting an image that does not have a ? in the URL.

Good question. Here's how it was explained to me -- right now, the version of RedHat that we are running (the Linux operating system) does not support the processing of .gif images. RedHat is working on a fix which we will apply once it is available.

NO Problem Bro, I check the thread from time to time to see if we can right click like we used to. Still nothing. I have to dig through thousands of lines of page source to get the posting location. I guess they are saying vb3 doesnt support linux doing something with right click. :dunno:

Maybe someday, the gallery will be cool again for all the plat bors & girls.

Technically, it's the conversion code that you have to license. The patent actually expired in the USA, but it's still in effect until late this year in Europe... and the developers of the "official" version ain't gonna support it until that patent is D.E.A.D.

So we can hack up some crap, or we can wait patiently for the real thing.
