Hey ladies :)
No gambling.... I just hung out with my friend and we went to the mall and some shops on the strip and up to the mountains. Had a few drinks but didn't get wasted or go overboard.
I guess I ddin't realize how big the whole thing was. I mean having slot machines in grocery stores was really odd.
Anywho I'm back and tored as heck. I took the red eye last night and that's the only sleep I have accounted for. I went to the gym and did a somewhat leg work-out. Burnt the hams out but boy I was pretty weak because I was tired.
Anyway going to go hit the hay, and will be back on tomorrow to hopefully catch up on a few logs.

Today I have upper body assortment.
This week is my last week of weights pre-cutting. Next week I have a week off from weights. April 9th is C-Day. (Cutting Day)
I'm getting mentally prepared for that.
Going to need you all in that time especially!

Ohh I liked the ghetto bunny. I really don't have time to view everyone's logs so I hope I didn't miss anything :(

Weights went o.k. yesterday. Plyo's this evening.
Looking forward to my week off!!!
2 more work-outs.
I actually feel like my head is coming around as far as the dieting thing today.
I think the spring like weather outside really helps!
I feel like a moose today but all in due time will the weight come off.

How long are you cutting for and do you do no weights when your cutting? I am cutting/bulking/cutting and I am in my first phase. First timer for all of this so I am axious to know when it comes down to the final. :worried:

I'm cutting for 14 weeks it looks like. I do weights when I'm cutting. The only reason I said my last two days of weights is because my trainer is giving me a week off before the diet down. Then it's back to weights and cardio. So Weights and cardio should be year around no matter if you are bulking or cutting.

Yesterday's plyos were a bit rough.... My knees have been aching like crazy. I think yesterday's run I threw in actually helped out. Today they feel much better.
No weights this eveining. I have round two of interview's.

My tailbone has been hurting lately. I am thinking it's due to being out in the cold for so long not sure though. I hope it straightens up I do legs tomorrow night. :worried:

The most dangerous effect of cheese on the human body comes mainly from fat. Dreon claims that cheeses are a good source of calcium, protein, etc., but most cheeses have a serious flaw—between 65 and 75 percent of their calories are based on the constituent of fat (qtd. in Healthbeat 9). To make matters worse, much of the fat from cheese is of the saturated variety, believed to raise blood cholesterol and increase risk of heart disease (Shockey 22). So even Pariza, who praises the function of cheese as a anti-cancer, cautions that cheese can be a major risk factor in heart disease (qtd. in Raloff 87).

According to American Demographics, the percentage of American adults who have a body weight at least 20 percent greater than desirable, so called obesity, increased from 24 percent in the 1960s to 35 percent in 1994. During that period, even though the consumption of beef went down, Americans have increased their consumption of salty snack foods, which usually contain cheese, and snacking has caused the consumption of sugary soft drinks to increase.

Some cheeses also can be contaminated easily, especially in the case of soft ones. So the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warns that a pregnant woman should be aware that certain soft cheeses can become contaminated with bacteria called Listeria, and, if she is sick from Listeria, the baby she is carrying could also get sick or die. Soft cheeses that can easily become contaminated include: several kinds of Mexican-style cheeses, Camembert, Mozzarella, Roquefort, etc.

Not nearly as much bad on PB:
They are loaded with omega-6 fats that distort the omega 3:6 ratio
They are frequently contaminated with a carcinogenic mold called aflatoxin
Peanuts are one of the most pesticide-contaminated crops

I fight myself every day for a piece of cheese. I haven't had any for a while now, but i still have that urge. More so than PB, for sure! Hope you REALLY enjoyed those last couple of bites! :p

I think cheese is gross...unless its ff cottage cheese w. some fruit OR on pizza....shoot anything on pizza is good...hmmm pizza...ok...I HAVE TO STOP right now. Sorry for jacking your thread...lol...but I dont get the craving for 'cheese'..maybe b/c I havent had any in weeks and weeks so I dont remember just how good it is :)

That's my new line I'm going to program in my head "Cheese is gross, Cheese is gross, cheese is gross...."
Every time I look at it I'm going to say "Cheese is gross!"

Interview went great, I have to run a client through a training program tonight, and then I have to go up for my 3rd and final interview on monday. Which if interview one and two got o.k.'d then they said interview 3 was just for the head guy to meet me more or less. So anywho I basically got the job, they told me to order the stuff to take my PT cert and that is that

O.k. now for the daily log....
I went home last night I had a slight craving a Healthy choice ice cream sandwich and starving since it had been 5 hours since I had previously eaten, but I ate 4 egg whites and 2 oz. almonds instead and went to bed.
Tonight my trainer won't be doing legs with me....
He's talking about taking the plyos out for when I start dieting down due to energy dropping and my knees aching all the time.
So tonight is the last weight work-out until April 10th.
So April 10th I'm going to start posting up my weight, and BF measurements as they are taken. I will also post up pictures maybe biweekly.
Ohhh and I refuse to have cravings.... ha ha ha so I will not have to talk about how evil things are :)

Congradulations on the job, 3 interview! what a process. You can live through me and my weekly cheat meal while your cutting .

Thanks for stopping by my journal - It is really helpful!! You are doing great - WTG! I gave up alcohol one month ago and am soooooooooo glad! I definately missed it at first but now rarely even notice it! What position did you interview for? Best of luck and thank you again for your help!

No problem. The position was for becoming a personal trainer myself. So I ordered all my materials and will be studying and taking my cert within the next 3 months. So I will do some massage work for them, and personal training.
I get my one book I ordered tonight and I'm such a nerd because I can't wait to go home and read this hard back 2 inch thick book.

I wish you were closer!! I have buckets of books on training. My certifications have expired but I had a bunch! The tests are basically the same and you will do fantastic! Are you going to IDEA in July? I don't train clients anymore but really enjoyed it when I did. Ask questions - I will answer the best I can!

Yep I had my 'audition' yesterday.... I had to do a full-work-out, stretch, analysis, on a client. Funny because I did the Shadow ab program because it seemed to kill me and the rest of us. The guy was almost hurling! He gave up by the second set... o.k. well tried until I picked his legs up on the flutter kicks and made him keep going. The manager watching me was laughing over in the corner. So now I have to go for the final interview on monday.

Tomorrow from 10-12p.m.
It's like 50 different things you have to do in order to get hired.
Oh well Interview tomorrow, then I have one training session the following monday for working the desk, computers and junk, then it's just studying for the PT cert, and training :)

It's a position at Bally's as a Personal Trainer. It's a good gym to start out at.

No work-outs... Kinda nice for a break....
Sooo No hitting the gym :)
Enjoying eating more variety of foods this week. Ie. fruits, veggies, shrimp, salmon, Wheat bread, etc..

Question for you.....Which certification are you getting? IFPA, ACE, ACSM, NSCA?

Just curious, I haven't done all my homework yet, but I'm considering PT.

NSCA... The only thing is Michigan doesn't have a testing center the rest of this year so I have to go out of state to take it... My trainer recommended that I take that one.

Hands down, the NSCA is an outstanding certification and organization. Good choice.

FYI - I'm sure you ALREADY know this (but just in case you don't), but start keeping ALL of your receipts related to training. That includes your travel to and from the certification, your certification books, your certification, membership, and insurance costs, etc. If you have a uniform, deduct it. If you buy equipment, deduct it. Any continuing education, seminars, meals (deducted at 50%) where you ask for client referrals or any other training topic, mileage for placing flyers, ads, etc. (but not to work) It's all tax deductible, and it's a blast. :)

Actually I knew to do that with Massage but didn't think about it for personal training... Good advice!!! THANKS!

Thank GOD for a planner!!! I tell you I would not function without one!
I have my first massage client, I got my PT test scheduled for June 17th in Atlanta (Shadow)

As far as the week off from training. I must have needed it because I haven't started feening about going back just yet. My knees are starting to feel better. I have been working on them.. What I think is they were not tracking properly because my Vastus Medialis, Vastus intermedius, and Rectus were overly contracted. Kinda odd because most people have the ITB, and Vastus Lateralis issues that I have seen and read about.

Well he said it's more reputable then like ACE and quite a bit more difficult to pass. ACE can be passed with pretty much skimming through books from what some different trainer's have told me. NSCA is one where you have to actually really study and know your stuff.
I guess I don't like half stepping when I do something and if I'm going to pay the money I want to have the best credentials.
I guess it's more of a personal choice on it.

Yeah well I will be driving 10 hours. My brother lives north of Atlanta so I'll be staying with him, my sister-n-law, nep, and niece. It will be nice. She tells me the pool will be open.. I started laughing. Yep by then I'm going to be enjoying walking around in a swimsuit!

I agree....If I'm paying for an education.....I want the EDUCATION! Just wondering - sorry - I still need to do my homework and haven't had much time to sit and really dig in yet. :)

So...what are we switchining it up to next week in the gym?

You don't have to apologize. I'm still learning also. I mean I ask my trainer a question and he gives me a 5 minute speal and I can't take in everything that sputters from his mouth because he is a vast store house of knowledge. So I pretty much took out NSCA CT test and one of the other trainers said the same.

Funny you ask about next week. I just e-mailed him asking him to give me a idea so I can go buy my food (if it's changing at all), and what the split is going to look like. We'll see how fast he gets back to me. He's usually pretty good.

August 5th, and it's going to be a blast. I've already got my CSCS, but figured studying with IP and grabbing another one can never hurt!

O.k. just ordered supplements gettings things together as far as what I'm going to take. I get my diet and plan this weekend.
I ordered from the AF Store:
Cardio Breeze, Thermorexin, Glucorell-r, Sesapure, Amplify 02, and Yohimburn lotion.
I have DMAE, and ALCAR. Looking at getting Beverly Amino Acids.
Besides that long list of stuff... I will be taking a multi vitamin, Vitamin E and C, Calcium/magnesium, Triflex (for joint support), glutamine, and I haven't heard but I'm assuming creatine.
Along with my prescription diuretic.

Oh and so you know the only thing I have been supplementing with thus far is DMAE, multi, vit E and C, Triflex, calcium and magnesium, glutamine, and creatine.

SO hopefully my trainer gets the diet to me so I can sit down and figure out where I'm going to supplement.

I know it's not going to be that drastic of a change at first. He's going to slowly ease me into things.

I'm now getting excited!!!

Well today I feel kinda blah... Tired more like it. Going to get some sleep tonight though because tomorrow night I'm tearing up the town with diet coke and lime!!
It's crazy because I don't want to be non-social but it's a good intro to what I'm going to be dealing with anyway. Not that I don't deal with the socializing issues already in what I do.
So still no info back from the trainer. Anyway. I go to the docs this evening to get my blood test results back from a few weeks ago. My body seems to be stabalizing because I had my long lost friend a week ago. So I think a combo of factors have worked. One is hormone free meat, two is supplementing with DMAE, and three is no more school (although I still have plenty of stress!) That's the only things that have changed.
