recomended cycle lenths for a guy that want to make long term gains

if you planned to juice as much as possibly safely for a goal in about 15 month what length of cycle would you recomend. what i look at the end of the cycles isnt important, the prize is a ways away. shorter cycles more frequently or longers ones? i know leading up to the contest would be a longer one but what about till then?
 
The genuine consensus from what I gather on here is that less = more with test. i.e. 8 - 12 week cycle of a moderate dose then take the same amount of time off.
3 monhts on, 3 months off etc.

Short cycle (like 6 weeks) are the easiest to recover from which would make them the safest in my book. So 6 weeks on (with fast acting, short ester gear and orals) followed by 6 weeks off until the contest.

However, professional BB'ers stay on all the time with their "cycles" consisting of very high dosages. It wrecks their bodies and makes them dependent on testosterone, GH, and thyroid medication for the rest of their lives. That's not what I call safe.
