Really stupid people

Every now and then, I come across something that I find so shocking in it's absence of intelligence on the net I just have to share it.

For some reason, the majority of the stupidity usually either surrounds basic human biology or religion.

This is the latest:

Buddhism predates Christianity by approx 500 years.
In addition Christianity is not the "FIRST religion".

e.g. Hinduism, is over 6 thousand years old.
Egyptian religion is much older than Christianity.

This may be what YOU believe, but it is false. As for Egyptians....they had gods but no formal religion.

Hinduism over 6k years old? ok, then they would have fucking books with descriptions of fuckign dinosaurs in them, which they don't. All some made up bullshit

In the begining of this post the point was that alot of people are quick to judge a person for using drugs for vanity, when they are smoking and drinking and using drugs themselves for their own reasons, my question was , is birth control a steroid or estrogen?

If anyone can give a strait answer to these questions than we can go from there. I just dont like people critisizing us when they are probably doing much more harm to their bodies than any of us.

He was referring to women doing more harm to themselves than a steroid user (as he is) by taking birth control pills.
 
Global warming my ass sister no pun intended.

Come to the north, I am still in the states and we had inches of snow falling in May this year and the frost isn't set to get out of the ground until JUNE!!

Thats madness, much smaller crop this year. Still got ice on the lakes as well.

I am going to school for Health and Fitness at the moment and I am having correlations with my teacher lol.

We where arguing about how more lbm doesnts increase metabolism.

And I said yes it does. Doesn't every pound of muscle burn like 50 more calories an hour? I mean it has to have some affect otherwise bodybuilders wouldn't eat much as they do.

That would mean someone with 100 lb of lean tissue x 50 kcal/h

= 5000 kcal/hour

And we wonder where some of these internet 'truths' come from :)

The global climate is dynamic and it has been changing since the birth of the earth. I suppose humans caused the ice age 10,000 years ago too. :rolleyes:

[anal]Unlikely, as LBM constitutes hair, organs, bone, body fluids etc aswell and thus different energy requirements, but yea, 50kcal / hour is pretty crazy. Perhaps they meant 50kcal / day / lb of active muscle tissue, which is certainly feasible, as the average person has about 20-30lb of cardiac / visceral / skeletal muscle tissue[/anal]

People believing in man-made global warming, buying into Al Gore's bullshit, etc pretty much takes the cake in my opinion.

Yeah, you get used to it. Stupid people just make you look smarter in comparison. So yeah for stupid people.

In real life - if you got hot looks, no one cares about your brain anyways.

People care about my brain.

i was just screwing around. . .i am drawn to threads that have titles like that though. . .can't help it. :)

there are a lot of stupid people out there though. . .my grandfather used to say "there's a lot more horses-asses in this world than there are horses".

Some of the things I have heard or seen I find really shocking.

Some of the lads in my gym were saying that you could eat as much protein as you wanted and it wouldn't make you fat.

I read on another BBing forum that if you ate too many calories, your body would just 'poop' them out as well.

too much of anything isn't good. . .not even sex. . .i've never actually had "too much". . .but i tried a few times. :)
