Rate the year 2009

Personal life 9.5/10 can't get much better
Financially 7/10 par for the course, lots of people I know did much worse

Not a bad year considering how it could have turned out.

Viagra and Beer have made this another good year for me. Steroids took my eye sight, but who gives a fuck if they can see as long as you stay swole and your bench press numbers stay up.
 
Considering my biz grew immensely throughout 2009 I'd have to say it was a great year for me financially, and personally as well.

Physically it's been crap. Being laid up for the last 4 months with severe whiplash due to a car accident has sucked monkey balls though. I'm just approaching 50% of my pre-accident weights while working out. Gained 15 lbs of lard and lost 5 lbs of muscle.

Fuck drunk drivers.
 
2009 had it ups and downs for the most part it was a great year of learning. I am for sure looking forward to 2010 I have this feeling of good fortune coming my way for this year.

In a lot of ways it was the worst I could have imagined. The last few months have been a complete 180 and things are going great. I'll just use the first 9 months as a learning experience.
 
pretty much an A....

first half was a b , second half was an A++++++++++++++++++ (minus one reoccuring, self imposed issue)

safe to say...my life is the shit
 
2009 for my wife and me was overall very good, as we were able to restructure our business to stay out of bankruptcy in the bad economy. We also both had personal growth, learning how to deal with new problems. We feel good that we didn't spend any money this year on unnecessary things, and we have faced up and confronted some old, long-ongoing problems in business and in life. "Done good!"

6.5/10 for me. Better than average but every year now I get a little bit older and a little bit slower.
 
went by fast.
surely my most unlucky year (by a small margin).

making sure i write a list of goals for this year,
and not getting jumped is #1.

I'm trying to go into 2010 with zero expectations. I want to just take it one day at a time and try and keep the important stuff in perspective.

the first half of 09 was awesome for me. I was working at a record pace about to easily make 6 figs. Then construction slowed wayyy down, found out my wife was preggo, then she gets in a head on collision (not her fault) with a huge hillbilly pick em up truck, then 2 days later my car popped a piston ring at 11k miles and the stealership refused to warranty my car because of aftermarket parts.

2010 will be better though. We will have a new baby early march for starters.

because of an aftermarket exhaust. it was actuall SOA (sub of america) who said no. So I said fuggit and went and pulled the motor myself and drove it to one of the top engine builders in the country to have the motor built. Now the only bad thing is trying to get all the bugs worked out.

I had the motor built to the track series shortblock and heads specs from here. It was a little cheaper going with the rebuild rather than buying a new motor. I also added kelford 268/272 cams to the heads.

Worst year in a loooong time....economy sucks....money is tight. On the upside...my health is the best in 15 years:chomp:.

2010 will be much better.

me too, exactly.
i have great family and friends- i'm loving life.
financially, this past year was a little hard, but considering that I have friends who were out of work for the entire past year, and here I am being promoted at work... i can't complain.

my year ended with my boss telling me he wants to invest in me, with incentives and paid education/classes... i can't ask for better than that.

and, i've gone another year without any of my kids having anything worse than the flu. None of us have been to a hospital in years (with teenagers, that's a miracle), and nobody is sick.

Some rough times, but more great times, and I finally started making some moves that will drastically upgrade my quality of life. I see the direction I'm going in and I'm betting for at least a 9/10 for 2010.

I am happy that the majority of you are doing well. I know. I know. It's all an illusion, but I'm enjoying this one. :)
 
Funnyh how in jan/2009 everyone was like "Obama will be president! OMFG this year is gonna be awesome!!"

How did that year work out for you obama fans eh? lol.

2009 was a GREAT year. Made shitloads of money and done great in the lady dept. Bodywise gained 3lbs which sucks oh well.

very nice for me. i hit a few rough spots here and there, but its all workout for the better. i'm very grateful for all that i have in my life.:)
