Rampage taken into custody... again

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been picked up by police again.




Sources say around 4:30 PM yesterday, friends who were hanging out with Rampage, waved down an Irvine police car after they were worried about his behavior. This, of course, following the insane chase the day before in which the UFC fighter hit several cars in his monster truck and was arrested at gunpoint.

We're told Irvine cops saw Rampage, deemed him a danger to himself and others, and took him to a hospital for observation. Rampage was very coopertive with police.

Cops won't officially confirm if it's a psychiatric hold.

I've heard that theory. Might be right, but so many people have been hit harder without having psychotic episodes. Everyone that knows Rampage says this sort of thing is out of character for him. Just seems to me that it has to be more than fight trauma.
Either way, I wish him well.

How long ago was that fight? Combative, irrational behavior can definitely be a sign of undiagnosed brain trauma from a closed head injury. Dude may need an MRI and a SPECT like pronto.

this is true, but if people are saying that he's not normally like this then ther's just as much chance that it could be psychological, when fighters lose to someone that they think they are going to beat it can mess your head up and make you a different person

i'd guess it's substance related. . .he looked doughy and out of shape for the griffin fight. . .i think he was enjoying the good life a little too much. . .and since the loss, he's probably doubled his efforts. . .i say he's in rehab within a month. . .karma bookie??

I'm saddened by this, I really like that guy. I don't think anything happened to him from the fight, cause he didnt' really get hit hard by Forrest at all. If anything, he was the one laying hands on Forrest. Still hard to beleive Forrest recovered from those two uppercuts.

If Rampage didn't do anything like this after his losses to Vanderlei, I doubt it's something psychological now. Team shoottobox was in that dude's head while he was in pride.........so I doubt losing to a friend like Forrest is really going to bother him more than any loss normally bothers a fighter like him.

I really like Rampage & I doubt he took any damage from Forrest other then a sore leg. Hope Rampage gets life back on track.The octagon will never be the same without him.

Monday following the fight Rampage did an interview sayin' that from now on GOD would be his trainer AND manager.
I'm a GOD loving man - but that's a little off the wall, even for the believer.
Something happened to his mind set, whether it's medical, or psychological.
