Raisins??

Maltodextrine DOES NOT SHUTTLE MEDICATION INTO THE BODY!
WHERE do you get this ludicrous information, you must read too much FLEX or muscle mag. INSULINE shuttles nutrients into cells/etc. NOT the MALTODEXTRINE. Do you research, and if you post back it up w/ SCIENCE.

Merry Christmas!

i am quite aware of this, it was a gross oversimplification. we dont need to pick on symantics do we.

Also I'm am sure the amount of iron does not significantly effect digestion time. About how much would it be effected by?

Sure the sugar in the raisins can be bad, but they are also high in antioxidants and minerals. Sticking with raisin bran can be good.

You mean semantics, which is the meaning or the interpretation of a word, sentence, or other language form.

JUST AN FYI for you young man...

Iron does not effect in vitro digestion, for the studies are done w/ grapes and thier ability to prevent proper digestion and/or absorption. Grape juice has become to the bodybuilding world what I call a "parroting" effect. One guy said it, and all the people that would like to sound smart just "parrot" the idea w/o any SCIENTIFIC proof or litigation.

Actually the fructose in raisins IS bad, but I can't argue w/ the potent anti-oxidant properties. However, such properties can easily be achieved w/ proper daily nutritional intake of mv/m, r-ala, vit c and e.

What are you talking about? Fruits are mostly FRUCTOSE...period... Hence the name FRUIT.

Any fructose is going to be a negative when it comes to body-fat loss, even for muscle gains.

Mr.X

wrong buddy, white grape juice for instance is mostly glucose

i would have never thought I'd be witness to people having an arguement over raisens......lol

my .02? it's better than eating a candy bar or something...so go for it.

I like celery spread w/ peanut butter, then stick some raisens in there.:p
