Ex_banana-eater said:actually, grapes and grape juices have nearly highest glucose to fructose amounts (higher glucose than fructose compared to almost all fruits). The glucose is actually maltodextrine. Raisins are high in it, and it could be beneficial to send more protein to your muscles, being the highest on the Glycemic Index. Peace.
Ex_banana-eater said:Grapes have a higher maltodextrine to fructose ratio than any other fruit. Don't believe me? Research it for yourself. Why do you think medications are taken with grape juice to increase bioavailability? Because grape juice shuttles it to the body quickly because of its high maltodextrine content.

WHERE do you get this ludicrous information, you must read too much FLEX or muscle mag. INSULINE shuttles nutrients into cells/etc. NOT the MALTODEXTRINE. Do you research, and if you post back it up w/ SCIENCE.
Merry Christmas!

i am quite aware of this, it was a gross oversimplification. we dont need to pick on symantics do we.

Sure the sugar in the raisins can be bad, but they are also high in antioxidants and minerals. Sticking with raisin bran can be good.

What are you talking about? Fruits are mostly FRUCTOSE...period... Hence the name FRUIT.
Any fructose is going to be a negative when it comes to body-fat loss, even for muscle gains.
