Racemic ALA is making me fucking fat!

Well I decided to give the racemic a try vs. the r-ala to see what the differences were....on the upside, racemic gives me superior pumps than the r does, not per mg because I took 2-300mg of r-ala for a meal that I take 600 mg of nutriteam racemic....however, I'm gainign fucking fat! Especially around the midsection, I am seriously pissed off about it too because I just went through yohimburn, not all but some to lean out and that shit isnt cheap... So I'm going to save my racemic for pre and postworkout meals only....taking 300mg while sipping a carb shake while training gives a superb pump. Unfortunately, my midsection seems to have jumped like 1-2% points in bf....very very upsetting.
 
where did you get it from, im using icemans, i cant say if i lost body fat yet, but i know i didnt gain any.
 
Nutriteam...I know I have gained some for sure...unbelievable....I wasnt quite sure until today though when I looked in a mirror I hadnt looked in in about 2 weeks.

oh come on, frackal...you lost all credibility with that "hadn't looked in the mirror in two weeks" comment.... ;)
 
It's ALA gut. The racemic causes your insulin levels to rise and it's the same thing that happens to guys who use too much insulin. You get fat in a hurry. The same thing happened to me. I was really pissed like you because I was cookin with my cardio and Yohimburn and then I added the racemic from Nutri team and when I put my pants on to go out they didn't fit. Nice time to find out, an hour before you're going out, that the ALA put 2 inches on your waist in a few weeks time and you have to switch to your fat pants.
 
im getting very possitive results from my ala, no fat gains, keeps me nice and full/dense
 
The nutriteam ALA was the best I've taken, no fat gain period, maybe it varies from person to person.
 
I'm on Anabolical's ALA right now and my waist seems to be getting smaller every time I look at it. Also went from 231lbs to 211lbs in about 5-6 weeks (dieting and cardio, but have also been taking 500mg/meal of ALA).
 
I don't think I am getting fat but I do think it makes me hold water...
 
Im taking 2000-3000mgs.(Anabolical's ALA) a day and lost fat pretty quick. Also keeps me nice and solid ,and the pumps are incredible!
Personally i love the stuff....

LOL....well it was a mirror downstairs that I hadnt strolled by naked in awhile and I was like wtf...I had already noticed that the skin on my waist was thicker.... do you guys think it might just be water? That would be awesome since I'm getting such good pumps with it.
 
while we are on the ALA subject again..could someone give me the definitive answer about the timing of ALA..that is,should I take it a few minutes before eating,just before eating,while eating or right after eating?..does it make a difference as long as you get the ALA in the stomach while digestion is just beginning?..or is it really necessary to take it a few minutes prior to eating to somehow prep the stomach environment for the carbs to come?

To avoid any stomach probs, it's best to take ALA is right before you eat. Taking the ALA after you eat or on an empty stomach can lead to heartburn.
Plus taking it before your highest carb meals alllows the ALA to work directly with the carbs you consume....esp simple carbs.....and thus taking it before you eat is prob the most effective too.
 
used during bulking racemic ala will DEFINITELY make you fatter..

SOME PEOPLE with higher insulin production may notice fat gains with racemic ala... even when cutting..

diet is likely the biggest factor.. a LOW fat diet is a must.. with racemic ala (exception being KETO)..
due to increased plasma insulin
 
It couldnt have been that either because I was not using the yohimburn for 3 weeks before switching....I hope its just water retention, I dont remember gaining fat last time I used nutriteams, but I also wasnt this lean...I'm sure I'm under 9% as I can still see all my abs well, but I was pretty ripped before. I think the best way is probably to use a combination, racemic when you want insulin spikes before/during/after workout, such as a 1st meal with carbs creatine in teh morning and protein, then a shake during training with racemic, then again after....use r-ala the rest of the day and stay lean....

Ulter -- you can't imagine how much I laughed to myself when I read this..... (from a female perspective!) Finally equal time for the men!
