Quick help please.

was doing a delt injection with 2cc of eq and 1cc of tt test and something odd happened. i have never had an injection problem, but when i pulled the needle out blood started squirting out everywhere.

the needle was a 22 gauge 1.5. did i waist my shot, or hit a vein?

first off use a smaller gauge like a 23g or 25 g 1" needle. you probably just passed through a vein. if you injected into a vein you' know it. you'd probably be dead. remeber to always aspirate thats how you will know if you hit a vein. ive had the same problem you have. take your time and do everything right and you wont have any problems.

Naw, probably went through a small one though, and when you pulled out... gush! Don't worry, if you didn't get really light headed and or have a rapid pulse (aside from seeing the red super soaker) from atually injecting into a veign, your good to go.

No big deal, happens sometimes. Use a 23g 1" from now on though. That is too big and long for delts for my liking.

its like i know better, but i never aspirate.

always aspirate. it'll save your life. ive heard horror stories about people being sent to the er having an anurism. i dont know if thats the correct spelling. but for me personally i dont want to take that chance

Its happened to me before.........you just hit a blood vessel, nothing major.
