Question on Finastride???

Okay my old man had a swollen prostate so they thought he might have cancer but he ended up having just that a swollen Prostate, he was given Finastride 5mg?? do any of you guys know what exactly does I dont find info on this product. I bought him a bottle of Saw Palmetto he can also I think is even better then all those medicines FDA aprove anyways, anyone has link I can take a look and learn about Finastride

Finistride,propecia,proscar are all about the same. I know one thing his hair should grow like a weed.

It blocks the conversion of Testosterone and near-Testosterone compound's conversion to DHT. DHT loves protates and scalp hair follicles.

Propecia = 1 mg of Finastride primarily for male pattern baldness
Proscar = 5 mg version of Finastride is for prostate issues

saw pallmetto is defeintly not better then propecia to stop hairloss, i can attest first hand to that. that being said hope everything works out ok with your pops.

thanx guys, so I think both would be good for his prostate I just got him some saw palmetto, and yeah he is using Proscar 5mg
