Question for anyone in their late twenties and up

At 16 I acted like I was 25. I didn't party, I helped my family as my dad had lost his job. I looked after my Brother and Sister, and while I had fun with my friends not all of them understood why I didn't go out every weekend, but instead worked every weekend.

At 18 I was a computer geek, and got hired on at a large corparation. I started college, but I got tired of telling my professors the answers to questions they didn't know, so I quit for a while. I started my first 401k and worked around nothing but 40 year old execs...I felt like 30. I had big time issues relating to anyone my own age, as they did me.

At 21 I bought my first house, still worked around 40 year old execs, but had been promoted and had a 40 year old and a 50 year old working under me. The few college friends I did have, couldn't understand why I could just drop what I was doing and come over for a party. I felt like I was forty.

At 24 I quit and got a better job, still surrounded by people older than my self. I worried about 1 thing my retirement package, you would have thought I was only a few years away from retirement. That was pretty much my only focus.

At 27 (that is my age now) I'm married have two dogs and my friends are all about my age. They are all out of college and are starting to understand how I acted when I did. They are all starting to settle down and we all relate much better now.

So while I don't understand what you are going thought directly, I kind of do only in reverse.

I play a lot of sports and do a lot of outdoor activities and recently I can feel my body getting hurt more, tiring faster, taking longer to recover, etc.

That's what scares me the most about getting old. The loss of activity.

yep i played basketball all day the other day and i was sore for like 4 days after , a few years ago i wouldnt have even gotten sore

Since i was 21, i hung out with an older crowd (25-50). Young kids and their immature view of life, annoyed me.

As long as u stay in shape, people look less at your face

yup it happens. for me it was 29 also. im 31 now but i still get hit on by younger woman. the youngest being 20 and that was 2 weeks ago. but i feel your pain. your not sure if you still want to do the club thing or just stay home and play cribbage. there seems to be no inbetween.
