question about "www.gamefaqs.com"...

Hi, I am trying to make a post at GameFAQs.com but it keeps telling me I need some sort of email address (not free, I am on yahoo), does anyone know a way around this?

you mean you had to get a gamefaqs email addy? i never had to do that, it has always been a free site as far as i know..

the actual GameFAQs site is free, but apparantly you can't have a freemail address like Yahoo or anything like that, AOL would work though because you have to pay for that service.
I don't know how to get around this!

hmmm i just used a hotmail account when i signed up, though that was years ago. maybe you could try that i dunno

Just use a less know free email and you should be fine. I'm ran into this issues with other sites that wouldn't take yahoo or hotmail emails. Sites who offers free email amoung other that I've successfully used are http://www.migente.com, http://www.blackplanet.com and even the free email right here at elitefitness.com

what do you mean?

use the email your ISP gives you. If you go through AOL as an ISP, you use their email.

If you have Comcast, then use your @comcast email that you get when you join the isp.

how do I find out what email my ISP is on?
I am not on AOL so I can't do it that way.

Don't do it. They're just fishing for inboxes people actually use, instead of the throw-away free ones people use to register for shit but never read the mail in it.


Basically it's an effort to increase the rate of incidence from 1% to something like 2-3%.
