Question about quad injection and local muscle soreness

I was just wondering a few things and I wanted to run things by the people on the board. I got all my gear for my first cycle. I did my research and started today. I was a little iffy on trying to inject myself in the glute so I did it in right quad. I followed all the instruction from 2thick web site. I managed after six locations to find a pharmacy that would sell me 22 gauge 1.5 inch 3ml (3cc) syringes. I am doing a sustanon (organon). The needle was difficult to get in originally and then all of a sudden it went in all the way and I was able to inject no problem. I aspirated and no blood except a very little amount on withdrawing the needle and I massaged the area one I put an alcohol swap on it and applied pressure.

Well my question is this: It is 10 hours later and the quad still hurts. My quad around the area that I injected is swore a fair amount. Is that normal? When I massaged it well and I don't think that I caused an abcess and there is no brusing. Did I do something wrong or is there something you guys could recommend that I do next week when I inject another 2cc.

Thanks.

assuming you injected in the right location, you have nothing to worry about...a little local soreness is normal with quad injections...youll get used to it.

Well, the soreness is pretty normal if this is your first cycle, plus the sus will cause a little more soreness especially if it is not mixed with something like deca. Two things may help reduce some of the soreness for next time, I assume that you are doing the one injection of 500mg. sus. once a week, you could try breaking that up into 2, 250mg shots 3 or 4 days apart during the week. One cc at a time may cause less pain being that there is less alcohol instead of 2 cc's at a time. Also, you could try putting ice on the area you are going to stick to numb it first.

Yes this is normal and good for you on a first successful quad injection.

It is possibly going to be easier on your tissue to try a 25g 1 inch pin if you can get ahold of some.

A lot of guys don't like quad injections and I can see where they are coming from. For whatever reason as I near the end of my cycle I'm irritating them too much. I couldn't even inject there yesterday and now have a big bruise on either side, ... just couldn't find a good spot.

So I injected in the butt, which I find difficult to do especially with the left hand.

I guess this is why guys learn how to inject the delts and bis so they don't always hit the same spots, but I'm not ready for that yet!!

Anyway, what I'm saying is, the glutes are definitely softer and less painful.

But with sus you are going to feel soreness for days afterward, so make sure you massage the inj site and do some cardio or a leg workout that day to minimize the pain.

Thanks guys. I was wondering if I was doing something wrong but from what you have all told me thus far is that it is gretty normal. Well I think that ice on the site injection beforehand might be a good suggestion. The other thing I was wondering is if I put the glass amps in a hot water solution first to heat it up a little if that will work as well? Well doing 1cc at a time might be great but I guess I would rather do it in one shot and have it over with than to do it twice afterall if one injection does cause the pain that it has and I am experiencing now I would hate to think at what 2 1cc injections will feel like.

i've come to except the soreness as part of the game. i injected 500mg of enth in one quad and 200mg of deca in the other tonight and the same again on monday, thurs......etc.

a bit of soreness is well worth the results we get with our hard effort and busting our asses!

As Stillshootin says, it's parts of the game. I've sometimes been sore for 3-4 days after a quad shot. It sucks but accept it & move on. I normally do a quad shot after I get back from the gym on leg days. So it give you enough time to get rid of any soreness before you hit legs again.

Bro, heating the amps in hot water is good mainly because it helps you push it through a 25g pin easier. Get some, you won't be sorry.

I just run a glass full of hot water (it helps if your water temp is pretty hot obviously) and float the amps in there for a couple of minutes. Seems to help.

The thing about quads is, if you're in a lot of pain going in, then you just hit a bad spot, or you're too tensed up, and that thing is going to hurt like hell for days. Other times it slides right in and you barely feel the pain afterwards. Definitely don't shoot in an irritated spot, you have plenty of sites, so use at least both glutes and both quads and avoid sites whenever you feel some kind of bruising or irritation building up. I have shot three times in a row in the same quad just because I gave myself a nasty bruise in the other one due to carelessness and needed to give it time to heal.
